About Willow Health

In the United States, one in five adults experience a mental health illness and over 12 million people have thoughts of suicide. Mental health crises can be some of the most difficult times in a person’s life, and over 17 million people seeking behavioral health care experience a delay in accessing care. Willow Health is on a mission to significantly improve this experience by expanding affordable access to high-quality, evidence-based intensive behavioral health care. In order to make this mission a reality, we deliver a virtual, urgent crisis care program that provides personalized, recovery-oriented care for people experiencing behavioral health crises.

Willow Health offers patients immediate access to evidence-based virtual crisis psychotherapy, medication management, certified peer coaching, care management, and around the clock crisis coverage, while working to connect patients to the most appropriate next level of care.

Your Role

As the Community Partnerships Manager for North Carolina, you will champion Willow Health’s mission by building and managing strong relationships with local behavioral health providers, hospital systems, EMS, crisis lines, community organizations, and other key partners. You will serve as a primary point of contact for partners, helping them understand Willow Health’s services, strengthening referral pathways, and identifying opportunities to improve how we work together.

This role will focus on both deepening and refining existing partnerships and developing new relationships that expand access to Willow Health’s virtual crisis care program. You will work closely with clinical and operations teams to ensure partners have a seamless experience engaging with Willow Health and that feedback from the community informs how we operate and grow.

While the role is primarily focused on partner management, you should be comfortable maintaining a presence in Johnston County approximately twice per month, with flexibility for additional in-person meetings or events as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow strategic partnerships with behavioral health providers, hospitals, EMS/CIT teams, crisis lines, community organizations, and other key stakeholders.

  • Develop and strengthen referral pathways, working with partners and internal teams to identify barriers, troubleshoot issues, and create a seamless experience for referring patients to Willow Health.

  • Serve as a trusted partner point of contact, providing education about Willow Health’s services, gathering feedback, and identifying opportunities to improve the partner experience.

  • Represent Willow Health at regional events, community meetings, and conferences to increase program awareness.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, operations, and leadership teams to translate partner needs and community insights into actionable improvements.

  • Track partnership activity and outcomes and provide leadership with insights to inform partner strategy and growth.

Who You Are

  • Passionately dedicated to mental health advocacy and driven by Willow Health's mission to expand access to high-quality care.

  • A natural relationship builder with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledgeable about the North Carolina behavioral health landscape and the unique needs of its local communities.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

  • Comfortable traveling to Johnston County for in-person partner meetings and community engagement as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in community outreach, business development, or public health, preferably in the healthcare or behavioral health sector.

  • Demonstrated success managing partnerships and engaging community stakeholders.

  • Strong existing network within the North Carolina healthcare, behavioral health, or non-profit sector.

  • Experience with healthcare referral pathways or other cross-organizational workflows.

  • Experience with CRM platforms and data tracking for engagement and growth.
