Role Overview
Laradon is seeking a creative, community-minded, and energetic intern for Summer 2026 (May-August). This dual-focus role offers hands-on experience in both Nonprofit Communications and Volunteer Management. You won’t just be observing; you will be the voice of our mission, helping us tell the stories of the individuals we serve and building the volunteer force that makes our work possible.
Tasks and duties the internship include, but are not limited to:
• Support the growth of Laradon’s volunteer program through recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing communication.
• Assist with day-of volunteer logistics for groups and events to ensure smooth operations and positive experiences.
• Supporting the communications manager with creating unique and interesting content for Laradon’s social media channels— Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & LinkedIn
• Creating content for the Laradon.org blog on a monthly basis. This includes setting up interviews, taking photos, interviewing, writing and posting the story
• Supporting the Communications Coordinator in creating a successful Disability Pride Month Campaign for the month of July.
• Experience creating unique, engaging, and impactful content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Is hungry to tell stories that create change in our community
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced, frequently changing work environment, and company structure.
• Feels comfortable working alongside individuals in the intellectual and developmental disability community
Requirements
• Must be able to receive school credit for the internship.
