We support 100% remote work for this role!
We’d love to hear from you if:Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you qualify, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch.
Note: This is not a PR or corporate communications role. It is a true strategy position focused on communications planning (for example, messaging across the funnel), audience understanding, and the role media plays in driving business outcomes.
As the Communications Planning Director, you will:
Tell Compelling Stories
Transform complex data into engaging, inspiring narratives that captivate clients and internal teams alike. You’re presenting data, but more importantly you’re crafting stories that drive insight and action.
Break the Mold
Challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of what media strategy can do. Your “break-it” mindset will unlock growth and create new case studies that showcase Tinuiti’s brilliance. Contribute provocative communications thinking to both new business efforts and priority client work.
Collaborate Like a Pro
Partner closely with Client Directors, media planning, and the Channel leads to ensure comms strategy is clearly represented within media plans. You’ll co-define client briefings, lead discussions on what communications must accomplish, and identify the jobs to be done by media to achieve business objectives.
Be a Trusted Advisor
Build deep relationships with clients and internal partners by becoming an expert in their business. Your counsel will help shape the strategic direction of our work and deepen Tinuiti’s impact.
Be a Category Guru
Bring a deep understanding of health and wellbeing brands - what drives them, where they’re headed, and how we help them win. You’ll share category expertise across the agency, crafting comms strategies that go beyond meeting goals to overdelivering on them. Think of yourself as the architect of our category leadership, using insights and data to build strategies that drive share, penetration, and growth.
Professional Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility and strong business acumen in communications strategy or planning
Deep understanding of audiences beyond demographics—what drives them, their values, passions, and media behaviors—built through data and research
