The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of multiple commercial solar projects throughout the NAM under various stages of completion at any given time. The responsibilities include coordination with the installers, end users, 3rd party service providers, and internal service teams to perform training, commissioning, and general project support. Skilled in managing multiple projects with a dedicated team at the same time.
This is a fast paced, technology-based program requiring various skills in management, documentation, technical support, logistics coordination, resource deployment and scheduling. The Commercial Project Manager interacts with internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for all relevant aspects that drive customer’s satisfaction: operation and logistics coordination, technical assistance through direct engagement, and team management.
Work Location: Remote in Southern California
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as Project Manager to support SolarEdge installers or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partners who are designing, purchasing, and installing commercial PV systems ranging from 100 kW through 10 MW in size
- Work closely with Account Managers to support key projects, ensuring proper resources are assigned to each project and efforts are tracked via CRM
- Drive the SolarEdge Installation Workflow process for strategic and large installations and ensure customer satisfaction
- Assure on-time delivery of components to the EPC working with Logistics team, and managing elements of the installation in tandem with EPC
- Support and maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders internal and external
- Conduct Needs Assessment on installation groups to identify training opportunities and ensure trainings are being conducted and tracked
- Provide feedback to improve company protocols, installation practices, and cost reductions
- Provide weekly metrics on activities and project statuses
- Interface with clients, partners, and service teams
- Manage major existing site related escalations as necessary to provide timely feedback utilizing solution driven methodology
- Be accountable for a limited reserve of spare SolarEdge equip., work with logistics team to keep inventory updated
- Ability and flexibility to travel, occasionally on short notice, as required to fulfill obligations of the projects
- Ability to work outside and onsite in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., routinely and unassisted
Requirements
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in commercial solar construction and/or commercial project management
- NABCEP Installer Certification is a plus
- Superior communication skill both written and verbal
- Excellent problem solving, team development, and critical thinking skills
- High level of integrity with strong emphasis on making and meeting commitments
- High sense of urgency with the ability to delegate and prioritize to meet required deadlines
- Computer Skills preferred: Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project knowledge, CRM
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, a plus
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Electrical license preferred, experience with three-phase equipment and grid interconnections a plus
- Agile PMP experience or certification preferred
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in both remote and field setting

At SolarEdge, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $80K-90K annually. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at SolarEdge. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
