About the Role
Attentive is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join Attentive’s legal team. A successful candidate should have superb legal experience and strong business judgment. They will help structure, draft, and review Attentive’s software agreements with customers and contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers. They will work closely with our revenue, marketing, finance, people, and product teams.
Location is flexible, however, working hours will be based on East Coast time (i.e., starting work day at 9am ET).
What You'll Accomplish
- Structure, draft, and review SaaS agreements and Data Protection Agreements with clients and contracts with strategic partners, vendors and service providers
- Work closely with internal business teams to identify, investigate, and manage legal risk across a wide range of product, marketing, and business initiatives
- Engage in customer-facing communication regarding our contracts
- Help formulate legal policy and process across the organization as it matures and grows
- Remain knowledgeable on relevant industry and privacy laws and regulations
Your Expertise
- Juris Doctor degree and qualified to practice law in-house in New York or the state where you live
- At least four (4) years of commercial legal experience
- Experience in drafting and negotiating SaaS and other technology agreements – either in-house or on behalf of a client
- Able to provide legally sound, pragmatic and practical recommendations under tight deadlines
- A strong “business-friendly” style that comes with an understanding that the Legal team’s primary purpose is to support the growth and success of the business
- Enthusiastic, flexible and energetic with a results-oriented mindset
- Adtech/Martech experience is a plus but not required

For US based applicants:
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 - $175,000 annually + equity + benefits
- Equity is a substantial part of the total compensation package
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location
