About Portfolio Company and Partnership:
The IRA has created a once-in-a-generation market opportunity: hundreds of billions in clean energy investment requiring prevailing wage compliance, with projects losing billions for non-compliance. Manual, error-prone processes are costing projects millions in audit preparation and penalties, while CPA firms are overwhelmed by compliance demand with limited scalable solutions. This is a first-mover advantage in an emerging category with explosive growth potential.
AI Fund and AES are together launching a platform to efficiently manage the complex requirements for the tax credits introduced by the Inflation Reduction Act.
The vision is to create the Carta for Tax Equity – a centralized and standardized platform for companies, investors, and auditors to collaborate on the complex requirements for the growing tax equity market.
What You Will Be Doing:
- The FIR will work with the AI Fund Leadership Team to launch and scale new businesses from the ground up. If you're obsessed with startups and building exceptional products this role is for you
- Partner closely with our PWA domain expert to translate deep regulatory expertise into scalable technical solutions
- Lead the technical build-out by recruiting engineering talent and establishing product development processes
- Drive product roadmap prioritization balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and compliance requirements
- Cultivate relationships with early adopters like AES and leading CPA/compliance firms to validate product-market fit
- Build feedback loops between domain expertise, customer insights, and engineering execution
What You Must Bring:
- Hands-on experience shipping full-stack, cloud-native applications.
- Demonstrated 0-to-1 product building experience from concept to launch, either in a startup or within a larger company.
- Strong product instincts and decision-making skills, developed through experience as an engineer or product manager.
- Proven leadership experience in a product-driven organization, with a track record of driving innovation, inspiration and execution.
- Comfortable leading in ambiguity and acting with limited information at times.
- Excellent communication skills that inspire alignment and trust.
- Self-starter who will thrive in an ambiguous startup environment
