Role Overview
As a CloudOps Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud environments to ensure high availability, security, and cost efficiency. You will collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and security teams to automate cloud operations and enhance system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud environments in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Implement cloud automation, scaling strategies, and cost optimization solutions.
- Monitor cloud performance, security, and compliance using logging and monitoring tools.
- Enhance cloud networking, storage, and compute configurations for efficiency.
- Troubleshoot cloud incidents and optimize failure recovery mechanisms.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and automate software deployments across environments.
- Implement security best practices in cloud deployments, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to optimize cloud DevSecOps workflows.
- Work with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, or GKE).
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.
- Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD).
- Hands-on knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, VPNs, VPC, and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in highly dynamic cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, Google Cloud Associate Engineer).
- Hands-on experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Cloud Run).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and service mesh technologies.
- Experience with AI/ML cloud workloads and big data architectures.
- Familiarity with incident response and disaster recovery for cloud environments.
