This position is in support of US Southern Command under the Enhanced Domain Awareness contract.  Our team shall refine the processes, technology, infrastructure, and personnel necessary to transition EDA into a scalable, distributed intelligence ecosystem. Leveraging the existing EDA infrastructure, this effort enhances cyber security, structured governance, metadata lineage, and data transformation capabilities of the command.

Job Title: Cloud Web Developer

Position Overview

This position supports United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) under the Enhanced Domain Awareness (EDA) contract. The EDA team is refining the processes, technology, infrastructure, and personnel necessary to transition EDA into a scalable, distributed intelligence ecosystem. Leveraging the existing EDA infrastructure, this effort enhances cybersecurity, structured governance, metadata lineage, and data transformation capabilities across the command.

Barbaricum is seeking a Cloud Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure cloud-based web applications supporting USSOUTHCOM’s Enhanced Domain Awareness ecosystem. The successful candidate will develop scalable user-facing applications, APIs, and cloud-native services that improve data accessibility, operational awareness, and decision support capabilities across the command.

Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain secure cloud-based web applications.

· Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs supporting enterprise data services.

· Develop modern front-end applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks.

· Integrate applications with cloud-native services within AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.

· Implement security controls to ensure compliance with FedRAMP and DoD Impact Level requirements.

· Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

· Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and cybersecurity personnel to deliver integrated solutions.

· Troubleshoot and resolve application performance, scalability, and security issues.

· Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, testing, and code reviews.

· Document application architectures, APIs, and deployment procedures.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.

· Five (5) years of equivalent professional experience may be substituted for a degree.

· Experience developing secure web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or similar frameworks.

· Experience developing and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.

· Experience working in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud environments.

· Experience implementing serverless architectures and cloud-native application services.

· Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

· Strong understanding of secure software development practices.

Desired Qualifications

· AWS Certified Developer – Associate.

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate.

· Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community customers.

· Experience with containerized deployments and Kubernetes.

· Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and automated security testing.

· Experience developing data visualization and operational dashboard applications.
