E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team in Charlottesville, VA in support of the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). NGIC is the Defense Department’s primary producer of ground forces intelligence. NGIC produces scientific and technical intelligence and military capabilities analysis on foreign ground forces required by warfighting commanders, the force modernization and research and development communities, Department of Defense, and national policymakers.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for fulfilling Tier 1-3 Tenant requests to include monitoring operational environments, provisioning Tenant VPCs, configuring roles, addressing tenant access requests, and escalating service requests as required.  
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.  
  • Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.  
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related area of study; 3+ years’ experience implementing security principles and administering IT systems.? 6 years of experience administering IT systems may substitute for academic degree? 
  • 3+ years supporting operations and maintenance for secure information management systems, including monitoring network availability and performing necessary maintenance to support network availability and network security measures 
  • 3+ years experience with scripting languages including Bash, Ansible, or YAML 
  • 3+ years experience with Linux Operating Systems and command-line interfaces 
  • 3+ years experience with Amazon Web Services, containers 
  • 3+ years experience with the Windows Operating System and Active Directory 
  • 1+ year experience with provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment using automation and tools such as terraform   
  • 1+ year experience with Platform as a Service technologies to include Kubernetes     
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, as necessary. Shift will likely be approx. 1500 - 2300, Monday through Friday   
  • Compliance with DoDD 8570.01-M IA certifications; IAT Level II baseline and computing environment certifications such as Security + and an AWS certification within 30 days of start?  
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance at the required level.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. E&M considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.?
