JOB SUMMARY:
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions across both cloud and on-premises environments. This position combines hands-on engineering with strategic architectural responsibilities and serves as a subject matter expert in virtualization, networking, identity services, and infrastructure modernization. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Active Directory, virtual desktop infrastructure, and enterprise networking. Responsibilities also include managing server systems and core network infrastructure, as well as supporting physical and VMware virtual environments, firewalls, switches, load balancers, network-attached storage (NAS), and SAN arrays.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) for mission-critical workloads.
- Manage and support server computer systems and core network infrastructure in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Administer Azure services such as Virtual Machines, App Services, Load Balancer, Front Door, Key Vault, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Support AWS infrastructure components including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and related services.
- Guide migration strategies for transitioning workloads from on-premises to cloud-based infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on support for physical and VMware virtual environments including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Configure and maintain networking infrastructure: site-to-site VPNs, firewalls, switches, routers, and VLANs.
- Maintain and support enterprise storage solutions: NAS, SAN, and backup/recovery platforms.
- Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory (on-prem and Azure AD), including DNS, DHCP, DFS, and GPO.
- Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and design.
- Develop documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures for infrastructure solutions.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and provide Tier-3 escalation support.
- Must be on video for team meetings
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with 3+ years focused on cloud environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (VMs, Storage, Networking, App Services, AVD, Identity Management, Resource Groups).
- Working experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM) and hybrid cloud integration.
- Working experience designing and deploying hybrid cloud and multi-cloud solutions.
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization, Windows Server environments, and Active Directory.
- In-depth knowledge of core networking concepts (VPN, VLANs, firewalls, load balancers).
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect, VMware VCP.
TRAVEL:
Limited up to 5% of the time.
