The IDEXX Pathology team in the Americas is seeking a Manager of Clinical Pathology with a collaborative leadership style, business acumen, and a passion for developing people and teams. In this role, you will…
Lead and support a virtual team of Clinical Pathologists located across the Americas.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on diagnostic excellence, customer experience, and professional growth.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members while encouraging continued education and career development opportunities.
Respond to escalated customer concerns and provide guidance and support in resolving complex issues.
Champion high standards of diagnostic quality, medical excellence, and customer support across the Clinical Pathology team.
Manage staffing levels and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and maintain customer satisfaction.
Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives for the business unit.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, team effectiveness, and customer experience through data-driven evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
Lead and support process improvement initiatives by evaluating existing practices, workflows, metrics, and system tools.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to coordinate work, resolve issues, and support organizational goals.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners, including vendors and contractors as needed.
Manage budgets, policies, and standard operating procedures to support business operations and team success.
Proactively identify challenges, risks, and opportunities, and implement practical, team-focused solutions.
Prepare reports and communicate operational updates, trends, and outcomes to peer groups and senior leadership.
Participate in and contribute to project work, new initiatives, and other business priorities as needed.
Education
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree required.
Certifications
Board certification in Clinical Pathology through the American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) highly preferred

Strong experience in veterinary clinical pathology and diagnostic operations is highly preferred.
Operational familiarity and/or experience within a high-volume diagnostic pathology setting.
Ability to work successfully both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Strong business acumen or aptitude, with curiosity and interest in learning and contributing to broader business operations.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
Growth mindset with enthusiasm for continuous improvement and evolving business needs.
Physical Demands
Extensive sitting, standing, and computer use.
Frequent use of hands and arms for computer and office-related activities.
Fluency in the English language required.
Some travel required.
