Position Summary:
Seeking a highly motivated life insurance point of sale professional who works with Financial Advisors and their clients. Winged Keel is an approved resource to ultra-high net worth professionals in the largest financial institutions in the country. As a leader working with Private Wealth Managers, we are seeking a self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a strong knowledge of estate, business, and charitable planning.  The ideal candidate will build relationships, drive increased sales results and increase brand awareness. This role is for individuals who display initiative, a positive attitude, a high level of energy, drive, motivation and grit.
The primary focus of this role is to cultivate relationships with private wealth advisors and their clients. Increased knowledge of the uses of life insurance and private placement life insurance to protect and preserve wealth and create tax efficient strategies is a key driver to the success of this role. The ability to gain trust and identify opportunities is key to the growth of this position.
Position Responsibilities:  
Business Development
  • Prospect and cultivate new relationships with Financial Advisors through targeted outreach and networking
    • Leverage Winged Keel’s relationships with existing institutional clients by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives
  • Build consistent travel in market to develop successful relationships by initiating in-person meetings in branch offices in the territory to increase referral opportunities
  • Manage pipeline and track progress through our CRM system
Client Relationship Management
  • Drive sales results in the territory with a proven track record of reaching a minimum of $2,000,000 of target premium in life insurance sales
  • Ability to consistently balance proactive sales efforts while handling the reactive aspects of the role. This includes leveraging internal resources to maximize growth
  • Educate clients and advisors on advanced planning concepts, and the strategies we use to structure life insurance policies
    • Effectively communicate the Winged Keel story and act as a brand ambassador
    • Succinctly describe life insurance concepts both Traditional Life Insurance and Private Placement Life Insurance
  • Leverage internal leadership teams to increase brand awareness and opportunities.
  • Effectively work with internal resources at Winged Keel to deliver high level service and support to financial advisors and clients
Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in institutional sales and business development within the life insurance industry
  • Understanding of advanced sale concepts, including trusts, estate and income tax laws, charitable planning, business planning, and overall product knowledge.
  • Understanding of Private Placement Life Insurance a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to create sales/relationship opportunities with clients, prospects, and advisors in the high-net-worth space with the ability to build trust for referrals.
  • Understanding of the Financial Advisor market and their clients
  • Maintains Series 6 & 63, Life and Health licenses
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to stay highly organized and accountable in a fast-paced sales environment
