We have an excellent opportunity for a Client Pricing Director who will play a critical leadership role, blending strategic vision, analytical acumen, operational oversight, and organizational development. This position is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive pricing strategies that align with the firm’s overall business goals. Leveraging advanced market intelligence and industry best practices, the Director will drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $190,000.00 to $210,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. This role is also eligible for our corporate bonus.
Strategic Pricing Leadership
Develop and execute a firm-wide pricing strategy that aligns with business objectives, informed by industry trends, competitive benchmarks, and best practices.
Lead the centralized pricing committee, collaborating with cross-functional experts to design and refine pricing models across service lines.
Establish and oversee a robust pricing governance framework to ensure consistency, transparency, and accountability; serve as the primary authority on pricing-related decisions.
Drive pricing innovation by exploring and implementing advanced models such as value-based pricing and dynamic pricing strategies.
Partner with senior leadership to embed pricing strategy into long-term growth planning and strategic initiatives.
Build a Pricing Center of Excellence, fostering internal expertise and long-term organizational capability.
Market Intelligence & Analytics
Cultivate relationships with industry associations and external partners to stay informed on emerging pricing trends, benchmarks, and best practices.
Conduct competitive analysis to uncover pricing trends, client preferences, and positioning opportunities.
Leverage advanced data analytics (PriceMetrix) to segment clients by behavior and needs, enabling the development of targeted, value-driven pricing strategies.
Own PriceMetrix tool and relationship to support data-driven decision-making; ensure effective adoption and utilization by financial advisors.
Develop models to assess the impact of pricing changes on client behavior, retention, and overall firm profitability.
Operational Excellence & Process Optimization
Design and maintain standardized pricing procedures, continuously evaluating and enhancing their efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness (e.g., bulk repricing to on demand pricing).
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of pricing initiatives and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
Understanding and optimizing advisor workflow around pricing.
Oversee the annual budget for the Pricing Center of Excellence, including resource forecasting, cost management, and financial reporting.
Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure pricing accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Advisor Support & Organizational Development
Partner with financial advisors and Advisor Services Directors to provide strategic guidance on pricing approaches and assist in repricing efforts for existing clients.
Design and deliver training programs focused on effective pricing communication, value articulation, and negotiation techniques.
Develop practical aids and resources that empower advisors to make informed, client-centric pricing decisions.
Promote a culture of pricing excellence across the organization by championing the strategic value of pricing in driving firm performance.
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in business; finance, economics or related.
7–10+ years of progressive experience in pricing strategy or revenue optimization.
Proven leadership in managing pricing teams or initiatives.
Experience implementing pricing tools, governance frameworks, and change management.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented, highly organized, and adaptable.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Familiarity with Salesforce and Support Org functionality.
Practice management experience.
Experience with Workday and PriceMetrix preferred.
WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified as a director level is $164,300.00 to $246,500.00. However, the base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
