Summary/Objective

Managing the day to day accounting operations for a portfolio of clients, delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and mentoring and review work of staff.

 

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage full cycle accounting for a portfolio of clients
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Help in documenting processes and procedures and developing uniformity for new clients with team policies
  • Review work from accountants on team and ensure meeting of close deadlines
  • Teach and be a resource for team members
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to streamline department processes
  • Support clients looking for budgeting, forecasting and other analytical and advisory needs
  • Prepare schedules, account analyses, and worksheets as requested
  • Participate in business development to grow the department
  • Process payroll and assist with 3rd party payroll journals
  • Assist in annual 1099 preparation
  • Other special projects/tasks as required

This job operates in a professional office environment. 

 

Position Type

This is a full-time position.  Hours should comply with business hours and schedule approved by management.  This is a hybrid position with up to 3 days from home after initial training period.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in an accountant role
  • 2+ years’ experience at a public accounting firm
  • QuickBooks knowledge and proficient experience required
  • Experience supervising or managing a team
  • QBO certification is a plus
  • Experience with Bill, ADP Run, or LiveFlow is a plus
  • Proven basic accounting skills and accuracy with numbers
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time while ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Quickly adapts to new technology and stays current with technology changes
  • Proficiency MS Suite skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) and strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
