The Senior .NET Developer will work on developing and maintaining applications, mentor junior developers, and ensure compliance with regulations. The role requires expertise in full-stack development, particularly with SQL Server databases and Azure.

Summary:
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to support a hybrid team of full-time and contract, junior and senior developers in developing and maintaining new and existing projects. This full-stack role requires expertise in the design and development of SQL Server databases,.NET Enterprise applications including UI/UX and Cloud hosted solutions in Azure. The ideal candidate has experience working on all stages of applications development through design, launch and log-term maintenance and thrives in a fast/paced environment with multiple active projects, shifting priorities and a team that depends on the candidate's support and guidance.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
- Develop applications, ensuring security, scalability, performance and ease of use.
- Design and implement UI/UX in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Design and maintain SQL Server databases hosted in Azure and VMs.
- Develop web applications in .NET MVC using EF, LINQ
- Design backed solutions optimized APIs for data exchange, across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with a highly skilled and dynamic team dedicated to delivering impactful, meaningful outcomes.
- Work with multiple business units to align software solutions with operational needs.
- Optimize database structures and queries for improved data processing and retrieval speeds.
- Lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and conduct code reviews.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements when building applications.

Requirements
Experience with compliance requirements related to HIPPA, CMS, AHCA, NAIC, OIG, URAC, DHEC, Medicaid and Medicare is highly beneficial but not required. Experience developing mobile apps for Android and Apple devices would also be beneficial.

Quatifications:
- 5+ years of experience in .NET development using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and SQL Server.
- Experience in front and web development.
- Experience with large data set processing, and performance tuning.
- Deep understanding of server-side backend development, including API integrations and databse management.
- Experience with HIPPA, CMS AHCA, NAIC, OIG, URAC, DHEC, Medicaid and Medicare compliance is highly desirable.
- Strong logical thinking and ability to create intuitive, user-friendly software.
- Experience working with big date, high-volume transactions, or enterprise-level data solutions.
- Understanding of SQL for database management and query optimization.
- Ability to adapt to frequent priority shifts in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft or AWS certification is a plus but not required
Education and/or experience:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar discipline is preferred but not required.

The technical test will involve the validation of the following:
- .Net 8 (.Net Core)
- .Net core had a different set of features from .Net framework before they were merged together into .Net 5
- .Net 8 has some major differences from earlier versions of .Net core which can break applications
- Experience with the items below, specifically with .Net 8 are highly beneficial
- Experience with modern versions of C# (C#10+) is required
- Entity Framework Core (EF)
- The .Net core version of entity framework
- Entity framework conveniently combines the data model, data access and database design with
- It can be used to design a database from within the application code
- Provides an intuitive way for developers to communicate with the database
- We use EF to design and build our database
- LINQ
- We use LINQ to query the database through EF
- There have been changes to the way LINQ and EF work together in newer versions of .Net that can break code
- Experience with LINQ and EF specifically in .Net 8 may help reduce those types of errors
- I can coach them on these scenarios if they only have experience in older versions
- .Net VMC
- Our web application is built using the MVC design pattern
- It has strict file naming conventions
- Experience working with the MVC design pattern is required
- HTML and CSS
- Our web application UI is written in HTML and CSS
- Experience using HTML5 and CSS3 is required
- Experience with CSS3 selectors level 3 and 4 is beneficial
- We use Bootstrap to ensure responsiveness so the site can be used on mobile devices
- Experience with Bootstrap responsive design is required
- JavaScript
- We use JavaScript to enhance the client-side experience of our web application
- We primarily use jQuery as our preferred JavaScript library
- We use a few additional JavaScript libraries for specific features to enhance the UX
- Experience with JavaScript and jQuery is required
- SQL Server
- We use SQL server as our database management system
- Experience querying a SQL server database is required
- Visual Studio
- The primary developer tool where all code is written, compiled, tested, and debugged
- Experience in any modern version (2019+) is required
- Source Control (Azure DevOps TFVC, TFS Online, TFS)
- Source control is where developers save their code changes to a single repository
- We use Azure DevOps with TFVC which is very different from GIT
- Experience with source control in general is required
- Experience with either Azure DevOps TFVC, TFS Online or TFS is highly beneficial
- Cloud Computing (Azure)
- We use Azure for most of our cloud-based solutions
- Our web applications are hosted in Azure App Service
- Our databases are hosted in Azure SQL databases
- We have ETL processes running in azure logic apps and function apps
- Hosting systems in cloud infrastructure can introduce unique challenges
- Applications written on local development machines may run differently when hosted in the cloud which can result in errors
- Experience with hosting web applications in Azure App Services (PaaS) is highly beneficial
