The role of the Claims Coordinator is to provide administrative and other support to the Claims Team for the successful operation of the Claims Department.
In this role, you will:
Acknowledge receipt of new claims from sender.
Report new claims to the carrier upon receipt.
Direct contact with carrier claims department within 48 hours of reporting to secure claim number and adjuster contact information. Share assignment detail with internal team as directed.
Contact with adjusters to monitor status of claims in order to update relevant parties on status (on certain claims when requested).
Assist Claims Team members with incoming and outgoing claims documentation and ad hoc projects.
Assisting Claims Team members in preparation of Claim Kits.
Generate Loss Runs from various carrier portals as requested.
Accurate data entry in EPIC claims management system (New claim input, Activity input, Filing of emails, etc.)
Setting educational goals to improve personal performance.
Respond to messages left by 3rd party callers. Confer with assigned consultant to determine next steps.

Understand and identify basic insurance coverages, forms, and policies
Work normally scheduled hours and additional time as requested/approved
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office required

The compensation range for this non-exempt position is $24.04 to $25.24 per hour, depending on experience
