The Claims Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Claims department and contributing to the day-to-day operations. This position requires professionalism, empathy, and clear communication while assisting insureds with claim questions. In addition to phone support, the role rotates through various operational tasks to ensure smooth and compliant claim handling.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a phone resource for policyholders who have an active claim, providing timely, empathetic, and professional support.
  • Process and research First Notice of Loss (FNOL) to ensure claims are correctly associated with policies
  • Document claims activity with detailed notes and diary entries
  • Route mail, reports, and escalations to the appropriate claims adjusters
  • Assist with processing payments, drafting correspondence, and organizing claims documents
  • Support catastrophe response, vendor coordination, and special projects
  • Attend team meetings and document action items
  • Secure adjuster 620 license

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Claims adjuster license and property claims experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines precisely
  • Insurance-related certifications a plus

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Occasional travel may be required
