  • Estimated annual base pay: $126,000(minimum) - $157,500(midpoint) - $189,000(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a CI Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you.  This position reports at the Senior Vice President or Director level. The purpose is to provide leadership with a Lean/Six Sigma focus resulting in the deployment of proven CI methods and tools resulting in measurable and sustained improvement of QDRC across various business processes (e.g. PLC process, Woodward Lean Enterprise System (WLES), product quality or supplier quality) within several customer facing workstreams.

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Creates vision and architects the lean / process improvement roadmap for all Sales, Marketing, Aftermarket Support, Customer Services and Contracts processes for the Aerospace division.
  • Drives a strategic mindset and commitment to continuous improvement across the department (i.e. defines improvement goals, establishes accountability through QDRC metrics, uses Lean/Six Sigma tools and techniques to continually improve processes and business results, and establishes a mindset within the department to document and control processes; promotes safety and housekeeping; uses facilitative leadership). Cooperative development of Lean Strategies across the department and where the department interacts with other functional areas (e.g. Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Finance and Product Management).
  • Improves processes throughout the department’s workstreams (This may include commercial growth strategy development, proposal creation, negotiation preparation, contract reviews, contract management, order management and customer communications.). Utilizes department members to support the various processes within the workstreams.  Activities within the scope of this role span all stages of the Product Life Cycle, from technology innovation to production through in-service operation to retirement.
  • Accountable for paradigm shifts for “game changing” systems implementations.
  • Provide leadership of projects with the assistance of members permanently assigned to functions within the department.

What We Are Looking For 

  • US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) preferred
  • Professional experience in a manufacturing environment or a branch of the military
  • Demonstrated success in implementing Lean/Six Sigma concepts
  • Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior exposure to transactional processes preferred
  • Familiarity with the “Toyota Way to Continuous Improvement”
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required
  • LEAN Certification preferred
