Charge Services Solutions Advisor

Position Overview: 

Emerging Tech is seeking a Charge Services Solutions Advisor to join our team! The Solution Advisor will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program by serving as a subject matter expert in Cerner Charge Services. This role is responsible for providing expertise, guidance, and knowledge transfer sessions to National/VISN Councils, local workshops, and VA solution experts. The ideal candidate will be a highly technical professional with deep experience in healthcare IT and proven ability to support solution design, configuration, and optimization. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide Cerner expertise and support to the VA EHRM program, including knowledge transfer sessions to National/VISN Councils, local workshops, and VA solution experts. 

• Collaborate with the Solution Expert to translate functional requirements into effective system design. 

• Facilitate ticket management activities and ensure timely resolution. 

• Partner with the Solution Management Administrator to conduct design reviews, offering guidance and recommendations for solution optimization. 

• Support the Office of Functional Champion Testing Team (OFCt) with testing activities. 

• Evaluate and facilitate the review of Oracle best practice recommendations for workflow and configuration. 

• Act as the highest-level technical expert addressing challenges related to systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multi-platform environments. 

• Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects and present findings to management. 

• Lead and complete assigned projects independently while ensuring alignment with VA objectives. 

Qualifications: 

Required Qualifications 

• 5+ years of professional work experience. 

• Proven ability to work independently in designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing systems in a healthcare or clinical environment. 

• Expertise in healthcare IT systems, systems integration, compatibility, semantics, and informatics. 

• Demonstrated experience serving as the technical lead on projects from initiation through completion. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical guidance in complex environments. 

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare IT, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field. An additional 10 years of professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Previous experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). 

• Experience implementing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
