Our Portfolio Management Office (PMO) plays a pivotal role in supporting and steering initiatives that foster growth, enhance operational efficiency, and introduce groundbreaking products and services. We are seeking an experienced Category Strategic Growth Associate to join PMO office.
Job Category
The Category Strategic Growth Associate will be a critical driver of Modernize’s growth strategy within our Portfolio Management Office. This role requires a unique blend of research skills, program management experience, collaborative and confident personality, and data-driven decision-making to support the launch and growth of new categories. The successful candidate will not only guide the introduction of new business categories, but will also perform category health reviews, daily and weekly, through data analysis -- uncovering opportunities to accelerate revenue and recommending the right next steps to strengthen category performance.
This individual will thrive in an autonomous environment, while bringing their understanding of digital marketing to the role -- informing both strategic roadmaps and tactical growth plays. You will be the connective tissue across teams—turning insights into action, navigating ambiguity with confidence, and driving measurable impact across the business.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily and weekly performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommended next steps to maximize growth and revenue for business categories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, confidently and effectively, to ensure seamless integration and ongoing growth of new categories, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Build and track category roadmaps and drive new category launches, from initial opportunity identification through execution and growth.
- Perform market research to validate opportunities and inform go-to-market strategies.
- Anticipate risks and performance headwinds; implement corrective actions to keep initiatives on track.
- Deliver concise, data-backed reporting and recommendations to leadership, highlighting category health, key trends, and growth levers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, project/program management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in project or program management with proven ownership of revenue-driving initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, preferably lead generation.
- Data analysis skills: ability to export, review, and interpret data, as well as drive conclusions and next steps based on what the data indicates.
- Ability to effectively guide a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Proven track record of working autonomously and resourcefully to deliver results in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, and Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s), and workflow such as Jira and Confluence.
The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 USD to $75,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
