This position sits at the intersection of accounting, financial analytics, automation, and system optimization, offering high visibility and impact across the organization. You’ll contribute directly to our fast-paced monthly close process, lead complex reconciliations, and uphold rigorous compliance with both internal controls and US GAAP. This role requires a proactive and analytical mindset—someone who thrives in data-rich environments and is energized by solving operational and technical challenges in a global enterprise setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about process improvement, fluent in technology tools, and experienced in supervising accounting professionals in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Investigate discrepancies, resolve aging items, and maintain tight documentation aligned with internal control protocols. Design and implement automation tools to streamline reconciliation processes and reduce manual effort. - Month-End Close Execution
Post journal entries, reclasses, and adjustments as part of the three-day close cycle. Translate reconciliation outcomes into precise financial entries with strong supporting documentation. Oversee the close process for junior team members, ensuring completeness and accuracy of reconciliations and journal entries. - Data Analysis & Reporting
Leverage enterprise platforms such as PeopleSoft, Sigma, Yardi, Smartsheet, and Oracle Cloud applications to extract, validate, and analyze large data sets. Identify root causes of variances, support audit requests, and deliver clear, actionable reporting insights. Utilize AI-enabled tools and dashboards to identify operational inefficiencies and improve accuracy. Champion adoption of new tools and advocate for technology-driven best practices across the team. - Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor a team of early-career accountants, providing hands-on training in core functional areas including reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and root cause analysis. Set clear expectations, model accountability, and support skill development across the team. Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, offering structured feedback and supporting individual development plans. - Collaboration & Communication
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Treasury, and Technology teams to address escalations, resolve data gaps, and drive continuous improvement in reconciliation and reporting workflows. - Operational Excellence
Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and urgency. Adhere to escalation protocols, prioritize backlog resolution, and ensure deliverables meet high standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness. - Judgment & Analytical Thinking
Apply structured reasoning and professional judgment to ambiguous problems. Explain financial drivers with clarity and contribute to policy and process enhancements as needed. Contribute insights and recommendations to leadership around automation, scalability, and accounting accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of corporate accounting experience, ideally in a high-volume, multi-entity environment
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and reconciliation best practices
- Proficiency in Excel, with hands-on experience using PeopleSoft, Yardi, Sigma, and other cloud-based ERP and reconciliation platforms
- Experience with Oracle ARCS/FCCS and/or OpenAI-powered analytics tools is highly desirable
- Proactive, technology-forward thinker with a passion for optimizing accounting operations
- Proven ability to manage and interpret large, complex data sets across disparate systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines with precision
- Prior experience supervising or reviewing the work of junior staff, with demonstrated coaching or mentoring capabilities
