The Technology & Operations Capability Development (T&O CD) Team - Career Navigation Leader sets the strategy for developing, mobilizing, and sustaining Technical & Operation’s (T&O) critical talent and leadership pipelines. This role drives a unified approach to career mobility and opportunity across T&O, ensuring the organization has the capabilities and bench strength needed to meet future business demands.
Working in close partnership with the T&O CD leadership team, senior T&O leadership, and HR leaders, this leader ensures the organization continuously develops the leadership, technical, and operational capabilities needed to deliver on GE Aerospace’s commitments to safety, quality, and innovation.
The position plays a key role in creating a connected talent ecosystem — one where employees have clear visibility into career pathways and opportunities to grow, while the business maintains strong succession depth and organizational agility.
As a key member of the T&O Capability Development leadership team, this role ensures that T&O employees have the systems, visibility, and opportunities to grow their careers at GE Aerospace.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Partnership

  • Develop and execute the strategy for career opportunity and mobility across the T&O organization.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior T&O leadership on internal career systems designs, capability development priorities, and connects into the HR talent/succession readiness processes.
  • Define governance and frameworks that integrate performance, development, and internal mobility to ensure long-term organizational capability.
  • Partner with HR COEs, HR Business Partners, T&O CD Capability Enablement (Learning), and T&O CD Strategic Capability (Strategic Workforce Planning) teams to ensure alignment with GE Aerospace’s global leadership development models and workforce priorities.
  • Act as a key member of the T&O Capability Development leadership team, collaborating on enterprise initiatives and shared transformation goals.
  • Partner closely with Strategic Workforce Planning to ensure talent strategies are informed by data and workforce insight.
  • Influence cross-functional decision-making by providing thought leadership on the future of work, technical capability growth, and organizational agility.

Career Opportunity & Mobility Strategy

  • Define and drive the strategic vision for talent growth and career mobility (career paths) across the T&O organization, ensuring employees can advance, diversify, and deepen their expertise in alignment with GE Aerospace’s technical and operational priorities.
  • Ensures the ecosystem of career paths, and how to move between them, is well connected & understood.
  • Accountable for driving and continuously improving the Technical Capability Review (TCR) process for the T&O organization.
  • Architect and evolve career frameworks and pathways that integrate technical, leadership, and operational tracks — providing employees with clarity, transparency, and opportunity to grow within a high-performance culture.
  • Partner with HR and T&O leaders to establish enterprise-level standards, tools, and processes that enable consistent career mapping, rotational experiences, and leader-led career conversations across the organization.
  • Collaborate to deliver integrated growth solutions that strengthen leadership capability, technical mastery, and functional depth.
  • Embed shared accountability for growth across leaders and employees, making talent development a sustained enterprise priority and a differentiator in attracting and retaining top talent.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, mobility, and innovation, empowering employees to own their careers while enabling leaders to actively sponsor and develop future-ready talent.
  • Promote a growth mindset culture where performance, learning, and career movement are interconnected.
  • Equip leaders to identify, coach, and accelerate emerging talent through mentorship, coaching, sponsorship, and feedback.
  • Partner with the Strategic Workforce Planning to leverage insights on internal movement, readiness, and progression as key indicators of organizational capability and talent vitality.
  • Partner with T&O Capability Enablement and T&O Strategic Capability leaders to reduce time to proficiency in critical roles.
  • Utilize FLIGHT DECK for the continuous improvement of career path processes. Ensuring the career paths are effective to the users across all of T&O - clear process on how to use, how to give feedback, and how to communicate. Owning the governance structure/councils needed to improve/maintain of the career paths.
  • Establish standards across career paths including: career path expectations, role cards & where Functional Maturity Models or other performance metrics are needed. Responsible for communications to employees in relevant career paths (career navigation) & key stakeholders/champions.
  • Identify & maintain key measures of career path success in serving business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in STEM, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in talent development, learning, or organizational effectiveness, including at least 5 years in a leadership role driving talent or capability initiatives.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Characteristics

  • Strong background in organizational psychology, talent management, adult learning science, instructional design, or organizational psychology, with demonstrated ability to connect development efforts with measurable business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to partner with HR and business leaders to translate organizational goals into talent growth solutions that strengthen capability and readiness.
  • Proven leadership presence with the ability to inspire confidence, build alignment, and model GE Aerospace’s leadership behaviors — humility, transparency, and focus.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking capability, with a record of translating complex business needs into forward-looking talent strategies that strengthen enterprise capability.
  • Strong critical thinking and systems orientation; connects insights across talent, organizational, and business dimensions to inform enterprise decisions and mitigate risk.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making grounded in business acumen, data fluency, and awareness of company culture and standards, balances near-term priorities with long-term growth.
  • Highly collaborative and enterprise-minded; builds strong partnerships across HR, T&O Leadership, and business functions to ensure shared accountability for talent outcomes.
  • Demonstrated influence and executive communication skills; able to secure sponsorship, drive alignment, and advance initiatives through clarity and credibility.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement capability; cultivates trust-based relationships across leadership levels and functional partners to anticipate needs and shape strategic decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with disciplined governance and measurable impact.

The base pay range for this position is 142,100 - 200,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on November 7th, 2025.
