What You’ll Do

As a Career Mentor at ACI Learning, you’ll empower learners to confidently launch their IT and cybersecurity careers while cultivating a growing network of employer partners. Equal parts coach, connector, and strategist, you’ll work directly with students to build job search skills and with employers to create meaningful hiring pathways—helping bridge the gap between training and employment.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

Build Employer Relationships
  • Develop and expand a robust pipeline of employer partners across national and local markets.

  • Position ACI Learning’s apprenticeship programs as scalable talent solutions for workforce needs.

  • Onboard employers onto the CareerConnect platform, encouraging active engagement and ongoing collaboration.

  • Coordinate employer-hosted events—such as career fairs and virtual spotlights—to highlight student talent.

  • Collaborate with Strategic Partnerships to identify and engage apprenticeship-ready companies.

Champion Student Career Success
  • Provide 1:1 and group coaching to learners focused on job readiness, confidence building, and placement strategies.

  • Tailor Career Execution Plans based on each learner’s strengths, goals, and barriers using Enrollment Readiness Assessments.

  • Help students utilize tools within CareerConnect—including resume builders, networking trackers, and AI coaching.

  • Host check-ins and pre-graduation readiness meetings to ensure alignment with employment goals.

Drive Placement and Outcomes
  • Actively support job sourcing and match graduates with roles aligned with their field of study.

  • Monitor platform engagement and student job search activity, conducting proactive outreach as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of graduate outcomes in Salesforce and CareerConnect.

  • Gather documentation to verify employment in compliance with all federal, VA, and accreditation guidelines.

Promote ACI Learning’s Brand and Platform
  • Encourage employers to use CareerConnect to post jobs, provide interview feedback, and access candidate pipelines.

  • Facilitate feedback loops by collecting employer satisfaction surveys and using insights to improve service quality.

  • Champion student and employer success stories through online reviews and public-facing feedback.

Elevate Student & Employer Experience
  • Coordinate events that build community, connection, and visibility for student talent.

  • Stay current on job market trends, industry expectations, and workforce development needs to better serve both sides of the hiring equation.

  • Provide ongoing feedback to improve the platform, services, and overall experience for learners and employers.

What You’ll Need (Requirements)

We’re looking for a connector with a heart for student transformation and a head for strategic partnerships. Here’s what will help you thrive:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, HR, or a related field
(Substitution: Relevant experience in lieu of degree on a year-for-year basis accepted)

  • One year of experience in career services, recruiting, HR, or workforce development

  • Strong familiarity with career development frameworks, resume coaching, and job readiness strategies

  • Comfortable navigating job search platforms and CRM tools

What Will Make Us Love You
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM or similar platforms

  • A background in vocational education or career training programs

  • Outstanding communication skills that motivate, coach, and guide learners and employers

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage time and drive results

  • Proficiency in promoting and coordinating career events, both virtual and in-person

What We’re Counting On From You

Once you’re on board, here’s how you’ll help us make a lasting impact on learners and their careers:

  • Place 4–5 graduates per week into roles that align with their training and goals.

  • Complete 100+ outbound activities weekly to sustain employer engagement and student support.

  • Capture 3+ employer satisfaction surveys per quarter to keep our partnerships thriving.

  • Drive brand awareness through at least 2 positive Google reviews per month.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to students and a reliable talent connector for employers.

If you’re passionate about helping learners unlock opportunities and thrive in their careers—and energized by building partnerships that matter—you’ll find meaningful purpose here.
