Description

Quasar is looking for a C++ software engineer to join its core R&D team.

We develop efficient, scalable software solutions addressing critical, real-world problems through our time series-focused data and AI platform.

Our systems process petabytes of data, delivering insights that enable businesses to reduce energy consumption, optimize resources, and proactively prevent malfunctions and accidents.

Whether you're an experienced engineer or just starting your career, if you thrive on solving challenging technical problems with C++, Quasar offers an ideal environment for your growth.

Responsibilities

You will spend your days designing and writing efficient, high-quality C++20 code in a streamlined environment where unnecessary meetings and reporting are minimized.

You'll contribute directly to Quasar’s core, proposing new features, implementing performance-critical components, conducting design and code reviews, and tackling advanced database and AI challenges, such as high-throughput timeseries analytics or real-time predictive modeling.

Our agile codebase closely follows modern standards, leveraging recent compilers and libraries.

Collaboration is integral, involving your peers in R&D and the solutions team in direct contact with users.

If you want to craft robust C++ software that delivers meaningful results, Quasar is where you belong.

Requirements
  • Outstanding software engineering skills
  • Solid computer science background
  • Fluency with C++ 17 and up.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience with challenging projects
  • No prior experience in database design or AI required
  • Fluency in English
Benefits

Work remotely (100%), hybrid, or from the office: your choice.
We don't offer flashy perks that won't actually make you happier. Instead, we believe the best benefit is waking up every day excited about your job, working alongside a great team, and being competitively rewarded for it.
