Leidos is seeking a Buyer located within driving distance of one of the following facilities: Reston HQ, Huntsville, AL, Charleston, SC or remote telework locations. The Buyer is responsible for the procurement of IT Hardware, maintenance and support, data, goods and services, company-wide.

Primary Responsibilities

The development and negotiation of favorable prices on higher complexity procurements, including terms, schedules and other provisions of purchase orders and acquisition contracts, ensuring consistency with client requirements and procurement policies/procedures under supervisor guidance.

Purchase order administration/file maintenance, closeout for all procurement related activities and supplier customer management.

Creating solicitations, supporting proposals, conducting price and cost analysis, negotiating price/cost and price/cost-related terms and other subcontract provisions. Procurement of higher complexity and risk, involving complex supplier negotiations.

Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

Reviews proposals and selects or recommends suppliers based on gathered information.

Recommend improvements to procurement processes and procedures.

Completes procurements independently.

Basic Qualifications

Typically requires a BA degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. Prior experience buying tangible goods is required.

Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Strong Customer Service mentality.

Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.

Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

CostPoint experience preferred.

Terms and Conditions negotiation experience preferred.

Pay Range:Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
