Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Ground Systems and Mission Operations Assurance professional to lead mission assurance, software assurance, and risk management activities for Ground Systems Development and/or Space System Operations and Maintenance (O&M) programs and proposals. The successful candidate will serve as the primary Mission Assurance Department point of contact within the Ground Systems and Services Strategic Business Unit and develop mission assurance processes and capabilities in support of ground development and mission operations programs.
The Enterprise Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers critical assurance disciplines that protect and enable people, data and missions. We provide a comprehensive approach to managing risk across the enterprise for current and future information environments where the business and missions execute. We apply the use of innovative tools and robust processes to ensure mission and business success.
What You'll Do:
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

What You'll Do:
- Leadership and Coordination: Lead mission assurance, software assurance, and risk management activities for ground systems development and/or space systems O&M programs and proposals, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and organizational and industry standards.
- Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary Mission Assurance Department point of contact within the Ground Systems and Services (GSS) Strategic Business Unit, providing guidance, support, and resource coordination to GSS program and proposal teams.
- Process Development and Documentation: Develop, document, and implement mission assurance processes and capabilities in support of ground development and O&M programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with ground systems development and O&M, developing and implementing risk management strategies to ensure program success.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and program management, to ensure mission assurance and software assurance activities are integrated into program planning and execution.
- Proposal Support: Provide mission assurance and software assurance support for proposal development, developing basis of estimate, and ensuring that proposal content accurately reflects the organization's capabilities and commitment to mission assurance.
- Mission Operations Assurance: Perform project engineer and management functions to execute mission assurance and risk management functions for O&M of space deployed systems.
- Quantify Mission-Level Risk: Quantify mission-level risk for the O&M phases of a program and facilitate transition from program development to operations with controlled, well-understood risks.
- FRB / On-orbit Anomaly Leadership: Provide leadership, organization, and communications for resolution of ground and / or on-orbit anomalies and failures, providing situational awareness to Ground SEIT, Factory Reach Back, Customer and internal leadership teams.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.

- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 10 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- Technical Expertise: Solid technical expertise in ground systems development, space systems mission operations, and software assurance.
- Industry Experience: Experience working in the space industry or a related field.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile ground processes and JIRA tool suite.
- Leadership and Communication: Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to program teams.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Additional years of experience in mission assurance, software assurance, or a related field, with a focus on ground systems development and/or space systems mission operations and sustainment.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., MS or Ph.D.).
- Cyber Mission Risk: Expertise/experience with assessing and quantifying system-level cyber mission risk.
Pay Information
