JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Manager of Business Transformation plays a critical leadership role in driving firmwide change initiatives and enabling innovation within the public accounting industry. This position partners with leadership, practice area heads, and cross-functional teams to design, execute, and sustain organizational transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, client service delivery, and overall firm growth. The Senior Manager leverages expertise in change management, business process improvement, and technology enablement to deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and execution of business transformation initiatives across the firm, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and regulatory standards in public accounting.
Develop and oversee comprehensive change management strategies, including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adopt plans to support large-scale initiatives.
Partner with firm leadership to identify opportunities to streamline processes, adopt new technologies, and enhance collaboration across service lines.
Guide practice leaders and staff through organizational change by anticipating resistance, building commitment, and embedding sustainable practices.
Serve as a solutions architect for transformation initiatives—analyzing current-state processes, recommending improvements, and ensuring successful implementation of enabling technologies.
Translate complex technical concepts and processes into business-friendly solutions that improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and client outcomes.
Manage and mentor associates and senior associates within the Business Transformation function, providing direction, coaching, and professional development.
Establish and track success metrics to measure adoption, ROI, and long-term sustainability of initiatives.
Act as a trusted advisor to firm leadership by providing insights on industry’s best practices, emerging technologies, and change management trends relevant to public accounting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field required.
CPA, MBA, or master’s degree in accounting, Taxation, or Business preferred.
8+ years of progressive experience in business transformation, consulting, or solutions architecture within professional services or public accounting.
Proven track record leading organizational change initiatives, preferably in a multi-office or partnership environment.
Experience working at the intersection of business and technology, with the ability to translate accounting and operational needs into scalable solutions.
Strong leadership and supervisory experience, with ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with business transformation platforms, data analytics tools, and workflow automation software is a plus
