Employees who are able to perform the essential functions of their jobs away from an Elevations location may do so with the expectation that they are onsite at least fifty percent of the time over a two-week pay period.

Summary/Objective:

The Business Intelligence Analyst independently performs quantitative and qualitative analysis by synthesizing data from multiple sources into meaningful business insights that are alignment with organizational strategy and vision. Works directly with ETL developers to expand and maintain the business intelligence ecosystem by providing updated code, logic, and data sources. Builds and distributes the structure by which enterprise performance is communicated throughout the credit union. Works with key process owners throughout the organization to determine appropriate in-process measurements and benchmarks. Responsible for data governance and supports the construction of the data warehouse tool and translates its functionality into enterprise measurement solutions. Maintains a knowledge repository by documenting processes and procedures regarding the day-to-day operations of the Business Intelligence team.

Essential Functions include:
  • Uncovers business needs and opportunities through root cause analysis, shadowing, benchmarking, or use of other business analysis techniques
  • Discovers and presents pertinent data insights that are alignment with organizational strategy and vision
  • Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining and predictive analytics
  • Coordinates with ETL Developers to create and support the business intelligence ecosystem
  • Partners with organizational leaders, analysts, and subject matter experts to understand key processes and evaluate data needs
  • Develops business intelligence solutions to analyze data and present actionable information to help make informed business decisions
  • Builds complex views and queries in SQL to connect various data sources together
  • Works in rotation with other Business Intelligence Analysts to gather requirements, define acceptance criteria and action incoming requests from the business
  • Develops and maintains the governance process and tools by which enterprise business, data, and metric definitions are documented, calculated, and communicated
  • Operates in an agile environment and employ agile methodology principles, project management and process design

Required Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience with business intelligence visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau and using relational databases such as SQL to query, manipulate, and organize data
  • Demonstrated capability to interrogate data, perform analyses, interpret data, and present findings to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret the needs of the business and develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated analytical reasoning and independent problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences    
  • Expert with Microsoft productivity tools such as Outlook, One Note, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Knowledge of data management practices, including data governance and data quality
Preferred Skills, Education and Experience
  • Experience in financial services industry
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification – Green Belt
  • Experience leading contributions of others and developing colleagues’ capabilities in reporting tools, business analysis methods, and techniques
  • Microsoft Azure Data Scientist Associate Certification
  • Experience with open-source data science and statistics packages such as Python, R, Spark, etc.
  • Experience in AI, Machine Learning NLP, including new and emerging technologies in Machine Learning/Deep Learning
  • Experience working with automation software including Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, etc
Work Environment:

Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smartphone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects

Compensation Information:

The person hired into this position will likely earn between $77,618.50 and $97,023.13 per year, plus annual bonus.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Anticipated Application Window:
