Nakupuna Companies is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team of talented consultants. The individual will work with data owners, stewards, engineers, and mission users to profile priority data, define business meaning and quality rules, validate lineage, document results, and help make trusted NAVSUP data easier to find and use.
The individual will support NAVSUP Business Systems Center as a Business Intelligence Analyst responsible for advancing enterprise data cataloging, metadata management, lineage, governance, and data-quality capabilities within NAVSUP’s AWS GovCloud environment. Collaborate with data owners, stewards, engineers, administrators, and mission users to profile prioritized datasets; establish business definitions, domains, classifications, quality rules, baselines, and thresholds; and connect business terminology with technical data assets. Validate metadata completeness, source-to-target lineage, data-quality results, and the accuracy and reconciliation of data exchanged through APIs and other integration processes. Develop test cases, capture evidence, document findings and remediation actions, support retesting, and maintain traceability in Azure DevOps. Produce governance and quality reports, scorecards, procedures, training materials, and knowledge-transfer content while supporting ongoing monitoring and sustainment.
ResponsibilitiesThe following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to mission requirements and reasonable accommodation.

- Support automated metadata harvesting and scheduled scans across ETL applications.
- Validate end-to-end data lineage, metadata completeness, source-to-target relationships, and Axon-to-Enterprise Data Catalog linkages.
- Develop and maintain business glossaries, data domains, classifications, stewardship workflows, and links between business terms and technical assets.
- Work with data owners and stewards to define governance policies, access expectations, quality measures, and acceptance criteria for NAVSUP use cases.
- Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, and user-acceptance test cases; validate and reconcile data exchanged through APIs and other integration processes; capture scripts, datasets, screenshots, logs, and results for auditability; and support preparation of API and Data Quality Validation Reports.
- Create data-quality and governance dashboards or reports and integrate relevant metrics into ongoing monitoring and status reporting.
- Maintain procedures, training materials, wiki content, configuration records, and knowledge-transfer materials throughout the period of performance.

- Communication - Works comfortably with data owners, stewards, analysts, engineers, and Government stakeholders; explains data-quality and lineage findings in plain language without losing technical accuracy.
- Quality - Produces complete and repeatable test evidence, scorecards, metadata records, glossary entries, and remediation documentation; checks that catalog permissions, lineage, glossary links, and quality rules work end to end.
