Essential Responsibilities:

  • Follow up with inbound leads, qualifying their fit for Blytheco’s software and services
  • Research and identify potential clients in our target market(s) and develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders
  • Make designated number of outbound calls and emails to qualify leads based on hot, medium and cold designation using the automated platform in Acumatica
  • Create a personalized plan of strategic engagement for top prospects
  • Uncover pain points and understand the prospective clients short-term and long-term strategic objectives, working with the business solutions team to recommend tools and robust solutions that will help prospective clients achieve their business goals
  • Maintain and enhance the prospect client experience with a cadence of touch point, follow up, and educational/informational phone calls and/or emails
  • Regularly enter, update, and maintain information on prospective clients in our CRM (Acumatica)
  • Assist the sales team by performing administrative tasks to include but not limited to creating opportunities and registering leads with publishers
  • Stay abreast of company and 3rd party offerings
  • Analyze and monitor trends in the marketplace, making recommendations as to what it takes to become a partner of choice for prospective clients
  • Meet and exceed established quotas and KPI’s

Day in the Life of our Business Development Specialist:

  • Identify and research prospective companies utilizing various tools, including CRM, ZoomInfo, etc.
  • Develop target prospect lists
  • Establish contact with prospective clients by phone or email
  • Schedule meetings with prospect stakeholders
  • Create strategies of engagement
  • Partner with marketing to develop targeted email campaigns to optimize engagement
  • Enter/update information in the CRM
  • Attend department and company meetings, as required
  • Ad hoc reports or projects, as needed

Role Requirements:

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 years of prior experience in an ERP software business development role highly desired
  • Strong customer service or call center background
  • Ability to clearly communicate our company offerings and build rapport with others
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to compose thoughtful, well-written emails, notes, and internal communication
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment while meeting goals and deadlines
  • Highly organized, with strong ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Possess the ability to handle objections with grace
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Acumatica a plus)
