About the role/team:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for handling leads from multiple sources and prospecting into new accounts. This position will have a direct impact on our success by setting sales meetings for a team of five Regional Sales Managers. The goal of a Business Development Representative is to qualify a lead through opportunity qualification and set a needs analysis call or online product demonstrations with an outside field rep (RSM) based on our rules of engagement.
How you will make an impact:
- Conduct a high volume of prospecting for qualified leads
- Work closely and collaboratively with marketing and field sales representatives
- Aggressively identify and qualify new business opportunities through targeted outbound and inbound campaigns using telephone, email, and the web
- Schedule meetings for sales representatives and attend conference calls as required
- Consistently log all sales-related activity in Salesforce and report progress weekly
- Hunting and gathering: Business Development Reps must be able to effectively manage leads from multiple sources
- Actively participate in process improvements with peers and team leaders
Experience you will bring:
- An Associates or Bachelors degree in a business-related program.
- 2+ years of sales experience in which you demonstrated the ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
- Experience meeting and exceeding measurable performance goals.
- The technical aptitude to master our CRM tool, Salesforce and any implemented technology for BDR team.
- An energetic self-starter willing to make outbound cold and warm sales calls, research for lead generation, and make numerous follow-up calls. Experience within a quota-driven environment is a plus.
- Must demonstrate competence in handling objections through superior interpersonal and communication skills as well as solid writing skills.
- Understanding of workflow systems and their application to customer business process improvement.
