The Business Development Representative plays a key role in driving Greenway Health’s growth by generating and qualifying new business opportunities within assigned sales regions. The BDR is responsible for initiating contact with potential clients, understanding their needs, and positioning Greenway’s solutions as a fit for their organization. Through outbound prospecting, strategic follow-up, and collaboration with Sales and Marketing, the BDR ensures a healthy, high-quality pipeline that fuels revenue growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social touches to identify potential leads.
  • Assist in qualifying inbound and outbound leads to determine fit and interest.
  • Support the Sales and Marketing teams with campaign follow-up and list management.
  • Record activities, notes, and lead information accurately in Salesforce.
  • Learn and apply Greenway’s value propositions, product features, and sales messaging.
  • Shadow and collaborate with experienced BDRs and Sales Executives to build sales skills.
  • Meet and maintain entry-level activity goals for calls, emails, and lead conversions.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, social selling, and other creative prospecting methods.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Sales, Health Information Management, or a related field.
  • One (1+) years of experience in a sales, marketing, or customer-facing role preferred (internships or entry-level experience considered).
  • Familiarity with EHR/healthcare technology solutions a plus, but not required.
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and marketing automation systems a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects and build rapport quickly.
  • High energy, resilience, and self-motivation to thrive in an outbound prospecting environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about healthcare technology, sales processes, and Greenway’s value proposition.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, social selling, and other creative prospecting methods.
  • Identify, research, and engage key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
  • Qualify leads by understanding client needs, challenges, budget, and timelines for EHR or healthcare IT solution purchases.
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Sales teams to develop and execute targeted campaigns that increase lead conversion and pipeline velocity.
  • Schedule qualified appointments and seamlessly transition opportunities to the appropriate
  • Sales Executive or Small Practice Specialist for closure.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospect interactions, activities, and insights in Salesforce.
  • Utilize tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, and Auto Dialer to improve productivity, outreach effectiveness, and reporting accuracy.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly activity and pipeline goals.
  • Continuously develop product knowledge and stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings to effectively communicate value to prospects.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for the majority of the workday
  • This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard the majority of the workday
  • This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as in-coming and out-going communications via the computer and/or mobile devices
  • The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates
  • Up to 15% of travel required

This means you will be expected to work on-site at the corporate office for part of the week and remotely for the remainder.
