The Business Development Representative will secure leads by identifying and qualifying sales opportunities and passing them to inside and/or outside sales teams. In this role you will produce qualified prospects by following up on inbound leads from various marketing programs or conducting outbound, proactive calling to target accounts or markets. The role will nurture prospects over time, discover needs, offer relevant resources, and learn where they are in the buying process to help propel the sale forward.

This role is ideal for someone who’s curious, driven, and excited about building relationships, learning the sales craft, and making a direct impact on revenue.

  • Strong collaboration with Account Executives and Marketing partners

  • Building trust and credibility with prospects through meaningful conversations

  • Demonstrating steady improvement in call quality, discovery conversations, and opportunity conversion

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a customer-facing role

  • Strong communication skills, you’re comfortable talking with senior-level stakeholders

  • Curiosity and coachability; you want feedback and use it to get better

  • Ability to balance activity with thoughtful, personalized outreach to uncover real business needs

  • Skilled in handling rejection and navigating objections

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

Why MeridianLink

  • Exposure to a growing fintech company serving banks and credit unions nationwide

  • Growth paths into Account Executive or other sales roles
