About DoraHacks & BUIDL AI

DoraHacks is the one of the world’s largest hackathon community and developer incentive platforms, powering global innovation through hackathons, grants, and decentralized governance. We’ve supported over 500 hackathons and distributed more than $70M to 220,000+ developers across Web3, AI, quantum, and other frontier tech space.

BUIDL AI is our next-gen hackathon automation platform — a tool designed to help enterprises, startups, Crypto/Web3 protocols, and tech communities launch, manage, and scale developer initiatives with ease. From page creation and judging to reporting and marketing, BUIDL AI streamlines the entire process.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate and qualify high-potential leads for BUIDL AI. Your focus will be sourcing organizations that want to host hackathons or developer programs, assessing fit, and handing off quality opportunities to our Account Executives (AEs) to close.

Your role is to bring in qualified, relevant leads that convert, not filler that wastes time. You’ll be critical to helping us scale BUIDL AI adoption across Web3, AI, developer tools, and innovation ecosystems.

What You’ll Do
  • Generate Leads: Identify and reach out to companies, foundations, and dev communities interested in hackathons or open innovation programs.

  • Qualify Rigorously: Use a structured framework to assess intent, budget, timing, and fit — ensuring only real opportunities reach the AEs.

  • Leverage Networks: Tap into existing contacts, events, and industry channels to find promising entry points.

  • Set Up Meetings: Schedule and prepare warm, high-context handoffs between qualified leads and our AEs.

  • Track Progress: Maintain CRM hygiene and report on KPIs (meetings booked, SQLs generated, conversions).

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Provide feedback to sales, marketing, and product on ICP evolution and lead quality.

What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships — ideally in SaaS, developer tools, or innovation ecosystems.

  • Strong grasp of outbound outreach and qualification processes

  • Exceptional communication and writing skills for cold outreach and follow-ups.

  • Self-starter mindset with a bias toward action, iteration, and improvement.

Nice to Have
  • Prior experience selling SaaS or platform products to developers or ecosystem teams

  • Technical understanding of Web3 ecosystems or experience working in crypto/AI

  • Based in or near New York or San Francisco, and able to attend occasional in-person events

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary + commission for every lead that closes

  • Opportunity to work on a flagship SaaS product in the AI/dev tooling space

  • Access to a global network of partners, developers, and innovators

  • Remote-friendly team with flexible working hours

  • High-ownership role with rapid growth potential
