Accelint is seeking a Business Development Manager based in St. Paul, Minnesota to support regional DoD and federal growth activities. This role focuses on developing customer and partner relationships, identifying and shaping new opportunities, and strengthening collaboration with technology companies and mission-focused organizations aligned with defense priorities.
The position emphasizes front-end business development, partner engagement, and opportunity shaping. Structured capture, contracting, and proposal functions are supported by centralized corporate teams. The role requires sound DoD domain awareness, strong relationship skills, and the ability to translate mission needs and technical capabilities into actionable growth paths.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with DoD customers, industry partners, and technology companies aligned with Accelint capabilities.
- Identify and qualify new federal and defense-related opportunities through customer engagement, partner collaboration, and market awareness.
- Support early-stage opportunity shaping, concept development, and teaming strategies.
- Engage with small businesses, non-traditional vendors, and emerging technology firms to explore collaboration and joint pursuit opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal capture, proposal, technical, and contracts teams to transition qualified opportunities into formal pursuits.
- Represent Accelint at regional industry events, technical forums, and customer meetings.
- Maintain accurate opportunity and partner records in Salesforce and provide regular pipeline and activity reporting.
- Contribute to win strategies, white papers, and solution positioning with support from technical and capture leadership.
- Monitor regional and agency mission priorities and acquisition trends relevant to Accelint offerings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, a technical discipline, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least five (5) years of experience supporting DoD or federal programs in business development, program delivery, customer engagement, or related roles.
- Working familiarity with DoD missions, organizations, and acquisition environments.
- Demonstrated experience building productive relationships with government and industry stakeholders.
- Experience supporting opportunity identification, teaming, and early capture activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and business audiences.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience working with defense technology companies, R&D organizations, or mission software programs.
- Exposure to OTAs, SBIR/STTR, or other non-traditional acquisition pathways.
- Prior military or civilian DoD service.
- Active DoD security clearance.
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS environments.
Physical Requirements:
- Based out of the greater St. Paul, Minnesota area.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Willingness to travel as required (up to ~25%) to support customer and partner engagement.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Clearance Requirements
Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL). In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment.
