SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for further developing business opportunities with the BAND-IT organization which offers a complete range of harsh duty mission critical fastening solutions globally. In addition to supporting assigned key account partners this role will focus on driving business development in targeted business segments. This position contributes to the development of strategic, marketing, and tactical plans to profitably grow sales of BAND-IT products while driving growth further in underserved targeted segments. This position can be located remotely or at BAND-IT, IDEX HQ in Denver CO.
REPORTING TO: Global Business Line Leader, Industrial, Energy & Aerospace
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will support a select few strategic accounts while focusing on business development activities in adjacent and targeted underserved segments. This role will understand, then recommend existing or proposes the development of new engineered application solutions with a focus on expanding applications and further penetrating current customers or targeted segments. This role will facilitate a BAND-IT solution by identifying customer requirements, including all aspects, customer development and coordination.
BAND-IT is seeking a primary focal point champion focusing on growth with evidence of exceling in the following areas:
- Proven account development of new customer or product adoption and growth to a customer segment.
- Account management and development experience with an industrial, automotive or aviation account focusing on support, relationship, and sales growth.
- Prepare and present presentations about BAND-IT capabilities and solutions to customers and prospective customers.
- Act as the voice of the customer, with a deep understanding of user personas, pain points and customer journeys.
- Determine feasibility and viability of a concept using customer feedback and market data.
- Provide insights into product, technology, and market trends.
- Craft and shape the business/product strategy, functional product requirements, commercialization recommendation, and ultimately, own the transformation of a validated solution.
- Work closely with a cross functional team to define requirements and design features with the goal of securing product market fit and growth.
- Coordinate and contribute to the development of Strategic and Annual business plans.
- Continuously rebalance product / service features which maximize value and minimize effort to focus on the highest -returning initiatives.
- Commercial process improvements acting as a persistent catalyst for change.

- Must possess ability to travel approximately 30% (air, car, other) of the time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field, required.
- 5 years of experience in account or product management to Industrial, Automotive, Aviation or heavy capital markets.

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $107,100.00 - $160,700.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.Benefits Package
