Role: Business Development Manager

Type: Full Time

Location: Hybrid in Denver, CO

Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 annual base salary, plus commission

The Business Development Manager at BWBacon Group strives to be top of their class through new client acquisition and managing key clients in their pursuit to grow their technology teams. We seek an entrepreneurial, customer service-minded candidate who loves teamwork and wants to be an outlier in professional services and staffing. The ideal candidate has an innate drive to connect people and build great teams.

As Business Development Manager, you will be working intimately with our clients at the engineering, product, HR, and sometimes, at the founder/CEO level, to understand their business model and their vision. This role requires outbound business development of new clients and existing client growth. It is essential that you work closely with our CEO, COO and peers on our recruiting team to prioritize our client’s needs and help fulfill our vision: to make recruitment a rewarding, creative, and enjoyable experience for our clients.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of business to business (B2B) technology/professional services experience. Experience in staffing/recruiting and/or professional/consulting services is required.
  • This is a new business development role requiring outbound efforts and demonstrated success in securing new logos/accounts.
  • Manage newly landed accounts with proven success in building trust and establishing authority, i.e. must have a strong reputation and proven track record cultivating relationships.
  • Natural people and sales skills in prospecting, sales planning, negotiating offers, handling objections, and providing strong customer service with professionalism.
  • Excels at supporting clients of different sizes, from start-up to enterprise, and able to identify, manage and strategize different levels of support.
  • Ideally possess a strong, modern technology acumen across software, data, cloud, mobile, AI, trends, etc.
  • Detailed and excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.  This is paramount.  
  • Experience managing and organizing clients with sophisticated planning and experience utilizing a CRM/ATS. BWB uses LinkedIn, HubSpot and LOXO among other tools.

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the internal Recruiting team, lead full life-cycle efforts for our clients.
  • Manage a wide array of high growth clients from start-ups to enterprises in supporting their needs to hire top technology talent.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the complex qualities of our clients and their technology products and services, and develop strategic plans to help them grow.
  • Drive and scale both contract/contingent labor and direct placement opportunities as part of company directives, with an emphasis on contract/contingent labor growth.
  • RFP proposal development with expectation of securing long term client partnerships.
  • Act with urgency, responsiveness, and overall attention to detail in moving candidates through the hiring process with our clients.
  • Adopt Agile as our core recruitment methodology.
  • Demonstrate appreciation for and allegiance to our values.
  • Drive the staffing process collaboratively with team members in recruiting, marketing and operations.  Teamwork!
  • Make efforts to learn new technologies and attend meetups and networking events in the Colorado community.  ChatGPT should be your friend too!
  • Adherence to all sales expectations and metrics set forth by leadership.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $60K-$75K (depending on level of experience), plus unlimited commission potential

  • Hybrid remote (3-4 days remote/at home) with onsite in Denver (1-2 days/week) at our awesome office located in the Santa Fe Art District neighborhood.
