The Business Development Lead, U.S. Payer role will be responsible for building and advancing Resmed’s presence in the payer ecosystem. This role focuses on developing trusted relationships with payer decision-makers, communicating the value of Resmed’s solutions, and negotiating strategic agreements that drive growth. The successful candidate will bring a strong network of payer contacts, a proven track record in sales and market development, and the ability to influence payer policies and purchasing decisions in line with Resmed’s long-term strategy.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with key contacts within a payer such as executives, medical directors, product leaders and policy decision-makers

  • Serve as Resmed’s external representative with payer audiences, including at industry events, webinars and forums

  • Lead commercial discussions with payer organizations from initial engagement to execution

  • Monitor emerging payer trends, policies, and opportunities to proactively shape Resmed’s positioning

  • Act independently to prioritize initiatives and advance objectives in a dynamic, ambiguous environment

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with at least 5 years focused on payers, health plans, or managed care

  • Established, active relationships with payer decision-makers and influencers

  • Demonstrated success in securing new business and advancing commercial agreements in the payer space

  • Strong communication and public speaking skills; able to represent Resmed with credibility and authority

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to self-start by identifying next steps to advance key objectives

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience launching or scaling new products, services, or channels with payer customers

  • Recognized as an expert in payer engagement, sales strategy, or health plan business development

  • Prior exposure to sleep, respiratory or HME industry

  • Has experience being tasked with sales/development of new or strategic products or channels

Employees accrue fifteen days Paid Time Off (PTO) in their first year of employment, receive 11 paid holidays plus 3 floating days and are eligible for 14 weeks of primary caregiver or two weeks of secondary caregiver leave when welcoming new family members. 

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $161,000.00 -$241,000.00 USD Annual

For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills
