Job Objective:

This role is responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to grow Chubb's massive consumer business across various industries, type of Partners and countries.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading and managing commercial areas, lead business development teams, as well as a deep understanding of the Latin American r markets.

The primary functions are to actively discover fresh business prospects by identifying potential partners, employing an exhaustive market mapping approach, conducting comprehensive prospecting, establishing deep relationships, creating strong value propositions, skillfully negotiating deals, and effectively leading a team of sales professionals to successfully achieve our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow Chubb's business partnerships in Latin America.
  2. Influentially lead, manage, train and support a team of local business development managers, empowering them to surpass and outperform their goals. 
  3. Conduct market mapping and analysis to identify and nurturing a source of Prospects in all the countries and ensuring a correct process of profiling them and their key leaders.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at major prospects and partners in the Region.
  5. Ensure that countries strategically analyze market trends and customer needs to guide the development of a compelling value proposition, aligning it with the prospecting process to create the most advantageous and competitive offers for potential clients.
  6. Guarantee correct discipline, track and report on deals progress and performance on our Pipeline management tool (Hubspot).
  7. Depending on the size, participate actively in the structuring of the proposals, negotiation, and closing of new deals; or giving support to Local Teams in those activities.
  8. Promote, organize, or assist with events with the purpose of building and maintaining networking.
  9. Be the “voice” of the Retail and Ecommerce industry inside Chubb, sharing market trends, opportunities, pain points, technologies, new product opportunities, etc.; in that sense, be the role of the Business Owner in the process of developing new business propositions for that industry.
  10. Share new trends, technologies, customer segments, products, and services that our sponsors are requiring, and collaborate with the different areas (UW, Ops, IT, Finance, M&A, Distribution, Claims, Digital, etc.) to put the best proposals in place.
  11. Collaborate with Consumer Propositions, Marketing, Product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment and efficiency. 
  12. Manage the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and report on progress to senior management.  
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, marketing, economy, engineering, or related fields. 
  • Field of Study: Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or similar. 
  • Languages: Fluent Spanish, Fluent English and Portuguese (preferred).  
  • 10+ years of experience in business development in the retail and ecommerce industry. 
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing commercial teams.
  • Preferably if know and have participated in insurance distribution in that industry
  • Deep understanding of the Latin American markets, passionate about digital platforms, marketplaces and their variations in business models.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with C-level executives, Investors, Fund Managers, Founders, Accelerators, Advisor.
  • Experience in managing and closing several large complex deals worth millions of dollars.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
