Job Description
BAE Systems' Intelligence & Security Sector (I&S) is seeking a Director, Business Development to support the Modeling and Simulation Solutions (M&SS) business area reporting directly to the Senior Director, Business Development for M&SS.
I&S delivers a broad range of solutions and services enabling militaries and governments to successfully carry out their missions. The company provides large-scale systems engineering, integration, and sustainment services across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains. In this role, you will join the Business Winning organization chartered with identifying, shaping, pursuing, and winning new business that addresses some of the top national security concerns facing our nation. The M&SS business area and its team have developed and are delivering some of the most advanced large-scale, multi-domain wargaming, warplanning, and decision support tools available anywhere in the world.
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
- Establishing, building, and maintaining customer relationships across key customers and markets
- Obtaining marketing intelligence, evaluating competitor capabilities, and developing competitive assessments for potential targeted pursuits
- Developing and shaping growth strategies, prioritizing new business opportunities, leading strategic responses to sources sought and RFIs, and recommending investments to align with customers' needs and requirements
- Leveraging current technologies, customer relationships, and internal and external collaboration to lead the creation, identification, and qualification of quality opportunities in current and adjacent markets
- Developing and executing strategic and tactical plans for the pursuit and successful capture of key opportunities. Supporting capture activities and win strategy execution through contract award.
- Participating in bid decisions, development of cost strategies, and phase reviews
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelors degree in a technical or business-related discipline
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience including at least six years in a business development role
- Demonstrated background in solution selling and developing new markets with proven leadership from inception to development of capture strategy to wins
- Ability to identify, establish, and use important customer relationships with key senior-level officials and program stakeholders
- Relevant knowledge or experience working with DoD on modeling and simulation-focused systems integration; Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE); and/or Live, Virtual, Constructive training solutions
- Conversant with National Defense Strategy, priorities, and technology trends
- Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors
- Candidate must have an active DoD Secret clearance to be considered with TS/SCI eligibility
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strategic agility, resiliency, and enduring positivity
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
