Red Nucleus is hiring a Director, Business Development to drive the growth our Learning and Development services!

How you Will Contribute
The Director, Business Development will strategically position and sell our full suite of learning and development solutions to key pharmaceutical budget holders within Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access and R&D functional areas. A Red Nucleus Director of Business Development will have demonstrated success selling $2 million+ annually in Learning and Development programs such as:
- Learning strategy & consulting services
- Asynchronous learning modalities (e-learning, microlearning, video and more)
- Creative in-person and virtual instructor-led workshops
- Learning games and gamification
- Learning technology platforms (LMS, LXP, reinforcement tools)
- Digital innovation (AR / VR, AI)
- Strategic measurement and impact assessment
- Product launch and new hire learning journeys
- Meeting production & engagement services
- Essential Skill Development
Responsibilities:
The Director, Business Development will have many responsibilities including:
- Proactively target new accounts - preference for hunter mindset and new business development
- Maximize your network in Pharmaceutical and Biotech markets to drive new revenue
- Develop strong and strategic client relationships within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry
- Lead full cycle sales opportunities from writing proposals, developing presentations and draft SOWs to secure new and expanded business opportunities
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage and track pipeline and opportunities
- Negotiate to ensure all business sold meets profitability targets
- Support Red Nucleus company growth by uncovering and facilitating cross functional business opportunities cross/team selling with other business units
- Attendance at key industry conferences
About You
- Minimum educational requirement is Bachelor’s degree
- Experience selling learning and development services to Life Science companies and consistently achieving or exceeding $2M+ annually (typical project size 100k - $1 mil+)
- 7-10 years of proven and relevant experience specifically selling Learning and Development services and/or Medical Communication Services and products to the pharmaceutical industry:
Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to break into new accounts and new functional areas within existing accounts
- Demonstrated ability to develop and grow client relationships across functional areas and levels
- Ability to identify and develop (via consultative approach) large strategic relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Understanding and ability to articulate key pharmaceutical learning and development industry issues, trends, etc.
- Prior experience using SalesForce as a CRM tool for pipeline and opportunity tracking desired
- Advanced skill level in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Understanding of the drug development process as it relates to timeliness of service offerings for targeting new accounts
