Position OverviewBlue Acorn iCi is seeking a Business Architect to serve as a senior business advisor and lead business architecture, functional direction, and value realization for complex engagements and transformation initiatives. This role connects business strategy, processes, technology solutions, and delivery execution to help clients prioritize investments, sequence change, and achieve measurable business outcomes.
The Business Architect will translate strategic objectives into target capabilities, operating models, roadmaps, and value-realization plans while maintaining alignment between business intent and implementation. This individual will also guide executive decision-making, oversee business architecture through delivery, and identify opportunities to improve performance and accelerate value.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Strategy & Architecture
  • Serve as a senior business advisor and own business architecture, functional direction, and value realization for complex engagements, transformation initiatives, or defined business domains.
  • Apply industry, market, customer, operational, and financial insights to frame business challenges, identify opportunities, and guide transformation priorities.
  • Translate strategic objectives into target capabilities, value streams, operating-model components, process direction, initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
  • Define current-state and future-state business architecture across stakeholders, governance, processes, information, customer experience, and enabling technology.
  • Make and govern key business architecture decisions, documenting assumptions, options, tradeoffs, risks, dependencies, and decision rationale.
Transformation & Value Realization
  • Develop business cases, transformation roadmaps, investment roadmaps, and value-realization plans based on expected benefits, ROI assumptions, readiness, sequencing, risk, and time to impact.
  • Define value metrics, baselines, milestones, success criteria, accountability, and review cadences.
  • Develop and maintain value maps connecting project deliverables to intended business outcomes.
  • Review delivery, adoption, operational, and business-performance evidence to evaluate realized value, identify barriers, and recommend adjustments to scope, sequencing, readiness, or investment.
  • Use realized and unrealized value, industry developments, and emerging business needs to identify and frame future transformation opportunities.
Discovery, Presales & Delivery Alignment
  • Lead discovery and scoping sessions to establish a clear understanding of project requirements, objectives, business context, and expected outcomes.
  • Define the “what” and “why” of initiatives by translating business requirements into business-value specifications and connecting proposed solutions to intended outcomes.
  • Support presales activities by helping prospective customers define and document business processes and by articulating value propositions, benefits, scope alignment, and value-realization plans.
  • Review statements of work, solution designs, and presales documentation to align project teams on business goals, scope, and value creation.
  • Partner with Product, Experience, Solution, Engineering, Data, Design, Technology, Delivery, and PMO leaders to evaluate options and maintain alignment between business intent and implementation.
  • Oversee implementation alignment with value-realization plans and identify opportunities for improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Executive & Consulting Leadership
  • Facilitate executive decision forums that establish strategic alignment, investment priorities, decision rights, ownership, governance, and measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain active communication with stakeholders to support transparency, alignment, and informed decision-making.
  • Mentor consultants and functional leads and develop reusable business architecture, strategy, and value-realization methods.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, recommending innovative solutions that improve business outcomes.
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools to analyze complex business information, model scenarios, improve architecture work, and identify transformation opportunities while establishing appropriate controls.
     
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in business architecture, strategic consulting, business transformation, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, design, and document business processes and current-state and future-state business architectures.
  • Experience translating business strategies into capabilities, operating models, roadmaps, measurable outcomes, and value-realization plans.
  • Experience developing business cases, ROI assumptions, value metrics, performance measures, and transformation or investment roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of digital technology solutions and their alignment with business goals.
  • Experience facilitating executive decision-making and communication across business, technology, product, data, design, and delivery teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, think strategically, and manage competing expectations confidently under pressure.
  • Ability to identify and recommend value-added solutions and mentor functional practitioners.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
     
Preferred Qualifications/Education
  • Experience with Adobe solutions.
  • Relevant platform expertise, technical skills, certifications, or industry-domain knowledge.
  • Experience using approved AI-enabled tools to analyze business information, model scenarios, and identify transformation opportunities.
CompensationThe base salary range for this position is $165,000-$200,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
