Position OverviewThe IT Business Applications Administrator is responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting the organization’s core business systems and applications. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems run efficiently, securely, and align with business needs. The ideal candidate has strong technical abilities, experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, and a proactive approach to system improvements and automation.Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Support
Administer, configure, and maintain business applications and systems such as IT Systems and AI tools , SaaS Platforms, HRIS, ITSM, and financial systems.
Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for system issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
Manage user provisioning, permissions, access controls, and security configurations.
System Engineering & Enhancements
Implement system upgrades, patches, and integrations across business platforms.
Analyze business needs and design technical solutions that streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Build, test, and deploy enhancements, customizations, and automation using APIs, low-code/no-code tools, or scripts.
Data Management
Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance across systems and integrations.
Create and maintain dashboards, workflows, and reporting solutions for business stakeholders.
Support data migrations, imports/exports, and cross-system synchronization.
Project & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Lead small to medium-size projects related to system implementation, optimization, or consolidation.
Document processes, system configurations, and operational procedures.
Security & Compliance
Maintain system security standards, policies, and audit requirements.
Assist in compliance efforts (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.) as they relate to business applications.
Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
Required
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Experience administering and supporting enterprise business systems.
Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, integrations, SSO/SAML, AI tools and identity management.
Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Workato, Power Automate, or similar).
Proficiency with SQL, APIs, or scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred
Experience with AI tools, API, Scripting, Python, SSO-OKTA, ERP, CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), Workday, ITSM toolset.
Background in system implementation or cross-functional project leadership.
Knowledge of data governance, reporting tools, or BI platforms.
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to partner effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and user experience.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
