R1 is seeking a Business Analyst (Epic-focused) to support large hospital clients through data-driven reporting, analysis, and insights. This is a newly created role due to growth with key clients and will play a hands-on role in running reports, analyzing trends, and responding to ad hoc client requests. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, experienced working with Epic data in a hospital or revenue cycle environment, and comfortable working directly with client-facing delivery teams.

Here’s what you will expect working as a Business Analyst:

  • Prepare complex deliverables in Excel spreadsheets in a consistent and reusable format.
  • Complete target-to-source mappings, supporting the development of data pipelines.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and QA to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Translate raw data into clear insights for internal teams and, over time, assist with client-facing presentations.
  • Partner with delivery teams to troubleshoot data, process, or system-related issues.
  • Respond to ad hoc client requests requiring quick analysis and clear communication.
  • Meet routine deadlines while managing multiple reporting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of business ethics and conduct.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in an analytics or reporting-focused role
  • Hands-on experience with Epic (required) in a hospital or revenue cycle environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions
  • Experience working with healthcare or hospital clients, with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly
  • Proven ability to independently run reports, analyze trends, and drive work forward
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $48,131.00 - $81,225.49 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 5.00%
