About the Company:
Decerto is a Polish software house specializing in technology solutions for the insurance industry. We develop systems that support insurers in improving and automating their business processes, while continuously expanding our cooperation with clients in the United States.
We are currently looking for a US-based Business Analyst who will work closely with a U.S.-based client, our internal teams and technology partners.
About the Role:
You will connect business needs with technology, translating complex insurance processes into clear requirements for development teams. This role combines business analysis, system integrations, AI and automation initiatives, and hands-on cooperation with stakeholders across different time zones.
You will also act as an important point of contact between the client, Decerto and our partners throughout implementation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges and process improvement opportunities.
- Gather, analyze and validate complex business and functional requirements, translating them into user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
- Act as a key point of contact for the U.S.-based client, coordinating communication between the client, Decerto, and our partners throughout the implementation process.
- Support AI and automation initiatives, including defining use cases, business rules and success metrics, testing AI solutions and recommending improvements to prompts, workflows and decision logic.
- Analyze and document APIs, endpoints, authentication methods, JSON payloads, data mappings and system integrations.
- Cooperate with Project Managers, Developers, SMEs and stakeholders during implementation, testing, UAT, releases and production deployments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, maintain project documentation and proactively identify solutions that respond to the client's business needs.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, including complex technology projects, process improvements and system implementations.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. insurance industry, including insurance products, underwriting, policy lifecycle management, submissions processing, regulatory requirements, and carrier or broker workflows.
- Experience translating business needs into clear technical and functional requirements.
- Hands-on experience with system integrations, enterprise applications, workflow automation and software development projects.
- Experience supporting AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation or digital transformation initiatives.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Required Skills:
- Practical understanding of REST APIs, JSON, data structures, data mapping and data validation.
- Familiarity with tools such as Postman or Swagger and the ability to interpret basic code in Python, Java or JavaScript.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in business-friendly language.
- A proactive, organized and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, responsible AI, data privacy or AI governance will be an advantage.
