We are looking for a Business Admin-Casual III supporting executive level NASA Program Planning and Control (PP&C) insight across all aspects of project planning, scheduling, cost management, and performance tracking across a NASA programs, ensuring projects adhere to budget, timelines, and technical requirements by leading the implementation of robust planning and control methodologies, monitoring progress and identification of potential risks, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive mission success. What You'll Be Doing
- Recommending operational changes and/or governance structures and approaches to support the organization's goals and long-term program or project roadmaps.
- Developing standards, processes, and objectives for high-risk areas of exploration to ensure alignment with industry trends and best practices; contributing specialized knowledge to improve processes and documentation.
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis of directorate strategies and initiatives to streamline activities and increase productivity, evaluating impacts of proposed solutions on the organization's operations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly reporting program status to senior leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance program planning and control processes, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with NASA standards.
- Serve as a highly proactive advisor, understanding issues and formulating options/recommendations, while working closely with the headquarters and program teams across other offices, working groups and panels.
- Support program office activities, working closely with civil servant program management in an advisory role supporting strategy development
- Refine technical integration and communications products and contribute to refining content and establishing strategy and vision
- Participate in NASA Program office and Artemis Program Office forums as well as International Space Station and Commercial Leo Development initiatives
- Develop special reports/discussions of findings, issues, conclusions, recommendations, and risk assessments
- Formulate recommendations to senior-level program management
- Perform other duties for the customer as required
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related discipline or equivalent experience
- 15 or more years of program/project management experience in developing effective operation management processes, reporting, procedures and systems.
- Experience leading process improvement efforts to reduce time and cost for generating required deliverables.
- Superior analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks and provide direction on competing priorities.
- Excellent written communication skills - organize complex materials and concepts in clear and logical manner
- Excellent verbal communication skills - clear, concise, persuasive; builds consensus through speaking; polished, professional style
- This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
