We are looking for you to join our team as a Budgeting Manager 3 based out of Linthicum, MD. This position offers the 9/80 work schedule.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The Budgeting Manager 3 will lead the management of our largest rate segment within the Mission Systems sector, reporting up through the Director of Forward Pricing & Affordability. Budgeting Manager 3 roles and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Compiles and reviews budgets in support of our internal rates for cost recovery as well as the annual Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP)
  • Recommends and interprets budgetary policies and procedures, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budgets
  • Execution and maintenance of continuous Forward Pricing Rate Agreements with the DCMA
  • Preparation and presentation of financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts
  • Interface with DCMA and DCAA
  • Ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, SOX and GAAP
  • Leadership and development of rates & budgets analyst staff

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of professional industry related experience - OR – a Master’s degree with 8 years of professional industry related experience.
  • Experience in government rates and/or budgets
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • People leadership experience
  • US citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • MBA or CPA certification
  • Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data disclosures and Negotiating with DCMA
  • Experience with IBM Data Analytics/Cognos

Salary Range: $142,600.00 - $213,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
