Northrop Grumman Defense Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our products include launch vehicles, propulsion systems, missile products, subsystems and defense electronics, precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition, satellites and space components and services, and advanced aerospace structures.
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Budget Analyst (Rates/Budgets Analyst) to join our team in Rocket Center, WV.


Position Summary:

  • Compile and review manufacturing budgets for organizational units using actual performance, previous budget figures, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration
  • Interface with Plant Supervision as well as Program IPT to establish quarterly budgets and provide performance reports
  • Support various departments in analyzing and tracking overhead budgets

Basic Qualifications

  • This position emphasizes skills and experience. Will consider a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with a minimum of 7 years of applied experience, Bachelor's degree and 3 year of related work experience or 1 year of experience with a Masters degree.
  • Must be able to analyze significant amounts of data using MS Office products: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of supervision
  • Must be able to work onsite in Rocket Center, WV
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel skills is highly preferred
  • Experience with CostPoint and Cognos
  • Analytical Skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Organizational/Time Management skills and ability to multi task
  • Self-motivated and works well in team environment
  • Degree preference is Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting

Salary Range: $56,600.00 - $85,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date. However, this timeline may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
