Brand & Content Marketing Manager (K-12 Education)

Location: Remote

Company: Brains & Motion Education

Reports to: COO/CMO

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000

About Brains & Motion Education

Brains & Motion Education (BAM!) partners with schools, districts, and families to deliver engaging enrichment programs that help students explore their interests, build new skills, and develop confidence.

Through STEAM, coding, robotics, arts, sports, and other enrichment programs, we work directly with K–12 schools and districts to expand access to high-quality learning experiences during and beyond the traditional school day. We currently serve 25,000+ students across our school and district partnerships.

As we continue to grow our school and district partnerships, we are looking for a Brand & Content Marketing Manager who can translate our work into a compelling story for education decision-makers.

The Role

The Brand & Content Marketing Manager will own how Brains & Motion tells its story to schools, districts, education leaders, and other key stakeholders.

This is not simply a social media or content production role. We are looking for someone who understands the K–12 education market and how school and district leaders evaluate partners.

You will develop the messaging, content, campaigns, sales materials, events, and thought leadership that builds awareness of BAM!, strengthens our credibility, and helps our sales team turn interest into new partnerships. You will also manage our Creative Designer & Collateral Specialist, setting creative direction and holding the quality bar on everything we put in front of a district.

You should be equally comfortable developing a district-focused white paper, improving website messaging, creating a sales presentation, building a LinkedIn campaign, interviewing an educator for a case study, and helping prepare BAM! for a superintendent conference.

A major area of opportunity for BAM! is California's expanded learning market, including the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P). Experience marketing to California districts is a significant plus.

What You'll OwnBrand Strategy & Messaging
  • Own and evolve the Brains & Motion brand voice, positioning, messaging, and visual consistency across marketing and sales channels.
  • Translate BAM!'s programs, capabilities, and outcomes into clear value propositions for school and district decision-makers.
  • Develop messaging tailored to different education stakeholders, including superintendents, district administrators, expanded learning leaders, principals, and after-school program administrators.
  • Ensure BAM! presents a consistent, credible, and differentiated story across every customer touchpoint.
  • Manage our Creative Designer & Collateral Specialist, setting creative direction and reviewing work against the brand standard.
  • Work closely with executive, sales, and operations leadership to turn organizational strategy into compelling external messaging.
K–12 Content Marketing

Build a content engine designed specifically for education decision-makers.

What this looks like:

  • Thought leadership articles
  • White papers and guides
  • District case studies
  • Customer success stories
  • Program spotlights
  • Email campaigns and newsletters
  • LinkedIn and executive thought leadership
  • Landing pages
  • Webinars
  • Conference materials
  • District-specific campaigns

The goal is not simply to generate content. It is to create content that builds trust, demonstrates expertise, creates demand, and moves school and district prospects closer to a conversation with BAM!.

Sales Enablement

Partner closely with the sales team to create materials that help BAM! win school and district partnerships.

How you help sales succeed:

  • Sales decks and district-specific presentations
  • One-pagers and leave-behind collateral
  • Program catalogs and capability statements
  • Case studies and customer proof points
  • Competitive positioning
  • Email sequences
  • RFP support materials
  • Objection-handling resources

You will regularly work with sales leadership to understand what prospects are asking, where deals are getting stuck, and what content could strengthen the sales process.

Website & Digital Content
  • Own the strategy and ongoing development of BAM!'s school and district-facing web content.
  • Improve website messaging, structure, calls to action, landing pages, and conversion pathways.
  • Develop targeted landing pages for specific audiences, markets, programs, and campaigns, including California expanded learning and ELO-P.
  • Partner with internal or external resources on SEO and website optimization.
  • Use performance data to continuously improve messaging and content effectiveness.
LinkedIn & Thought Leadership

Build BAM!'s presence with K–12 education leaders through a focused LinkedIn strategy.

  • Manage Brains & Motion's LinkedIn content strategy.
  • Develop content for BAM! executives and subject-matter experts.
  • Turn internal expertise, program results, customer stories, and industry trends into engaging content.
  • Build credibility with district and education audiences rather than simply chasing impressions.
  • Identify timely topics where BAM! can contribute a useful perspective to the K–12 education conversation, including the challenges facing expanded learning leaders around program quality, staffing, student engagement, and implementation.
Conferences, Events & Field Marketing

Own BAM!'s presence at education conferences, district events, and other in-person opportunities.

  • Identify high-value conferences and events.
  • Develop event-specific messaging and campaigns.
  • Create booth concepts, signage, collateral, presentations, and leave-behinds.
  • Develop pre-event and post-event outreach.
  • Support speaking opportunities and thought-leadership sessions.
  • Partner with sales to turn event participation into measurable pipeline.

You should understand that in education, relationships matter. Some of our strongest marketing opportunities happen when we can put BAM! directly in front of the people making decisions for students.

What We're Looking ForRequired
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, brand marketing, demand generation, product marketing, or a related marketing role.
  • Experience marketing within the K–12 education, EdTech, education services, youth programming, or school district ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how schools and school districts evaluate and purchase products or services.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to translate complex offerings into simple, compelling messages.
  • Experience creating content for B2B or institutional decision-makers.
  • Experience developing sales enablement materials.
  • Strong understanding of digital content, websites, email marketing, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong visual judgment and an understanding of what makes marketing materials feel polished, modern, and credible.
  • Experience giving creative direction to a designer or creative resource.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from strategy through execution.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with executives, sales, operations, and program teams.
  • A bias toward execution. You should enjoy both developing the strategy and creating the work.
Strongly Preferred
  • Experience marketing directly to school districts and district administrators.
  • Experience with California K–12 education.
  • Knowledge of California's Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) or expanded-learning programs more broadly.
  • Familiarity with education funding, district procurement, RFPs, or public-sector sales cycles.
  • Experience marketing after-school, enrichment, tutoring, intersection, summer learning, or expanded-learning programs.
  • Existing familiarity with California education associations, conferences, or district networks.
  • Experience developing account-based or district-specific marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working closely with a B2B education sales organization.
What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means Brains & Motion increasingly becomes a brand that district leaders recognize, understand, trust, and want to speak with.

Over time, we would expect you to:

  • Sharpen BAM!'s positioning in the K–12 education market.
  • Build a consistent pipeline of high-quality content designed for education decision-makers.
  • Establish a clear and compelling ELO-P marketing strategy for California.
  • Give our sales organization substantially stronger tools to engage districts and close partnerships.
  • Increase engagement with BAM! among district administrators and expanded-learning leaders.
  • Build a stronger presence at the conferences, events, and channels where our customers spend their time.
  • Create a more cohesive customer journey from first interaction with the BAM! brand through the sales process.
  • Turn BAM!'s experience serving schools and students into stories, evidence, and thought leadership that differentiate us in the market.
The Person Who Will Thrive Here

You may be a great fit if you are the kind of marketer who asks:

Who exactly are we trying to influence? What problem are they trying to solve? Why should they trust us? And what content or experience would make them want to learn more?

You understand that marketing to a superintendent or expanded-learning director is very different from consumer marketing.

You care about great writing and strong creative, but you also care whether those things generate conversations, opportunities, and revenue.

And you are excited by the opportunity to help build a distinctive education brand while expanding access to engaging learning experiences for students across the country.
