Job Description:
The Boomi Integration Specialist is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of integration solutions using the Dell Boomi AtomSphere platform. This role will work closely with various business units and technical teams to connect disparate systems, automate data flows, and ensure data integrity across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in Boomi development, a solid understanding of integration patterns, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues effectively. The integration specialist will adhere to best practices such as: Agile execution, technical documentation, reporting of progress, and coding standards.Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Design and Develop Integrations:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust and scalable Boomi integration solutions.
- Develop integration processes, mappings, and transformations using Boomi Integration.
- Utilize various Boomi connectors (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, databases, APIs) to connect different applications and data sources.
- Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms within Boomi processes.
- Adhere to integration best practices and coding standards.
- Manage and Maintain the Boomi Environment:
- Administer and maintain the Boomi platform, including user management, environment setup, and deployment.
- Monitor the health and performance of Boomi integrations and proactively address any issues.
- Deploy and manage Boomi Atoms/Molecules/Clouds.
- Implement and manage security protocols within the Boomi environment.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching and upgrades, in coordination with relevant teams.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Investigate and resolve integration failures and data discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to end-users and other technical teams regarding Boomi integrations.
- Document integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with business analysts, application owners, and other stakeholders to understand integration needs.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences regarding integration status and issues.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on integration requirements and timelines.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Boomi features and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to optimize existing integrations for performance and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of integration standards and guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in developing and implementing solutions with the Boomi platform, including Boomi Integration, API Management, and/or Master Data Hub.
- Proficiency in REST/SOAP API integration, JSON, XML, and EDI standards.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and writing queries.
- Experience integrating with cloud-based and on-premise applications (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, databases).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and explore processes that may be unfamiliar and need to be refactored
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Boomi certifications (e.g., Boomi Certified Developer, Boomi Certified Administrator).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of API design and development.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Walk or stand for 10% of the time
- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
- Lift 25 lbs.
- Travel 5% of the time
Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $90,000 - $100,000. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
Variable Pay: Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
